Old Bearded Stout | North Coast Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout® Clone | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | Extract
One of our most complex recipe kits, this clone of North Coast Brewing Co.'s Old Rasputin continues to improve the longer it's aged Includes Apollo™, Northern Brewer, and Willamette hops Estimated ABV: 8.5-10% Estimated IBUs: 70-80 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer Wow. If you've never tried the North Coast Brewing Co. Old Rasputin, then you need to brew our clone version of it. If you have tried the North Coast Brewing Co. Old Rasputin, then you know what we're talking about, and need to brew our clone version of it! This imperial stout is one of our most complex recipe kits. Not only because of the ingredients invovled (2 types of extract, 5 specialty malts, and 3 different hops!), but because of the mouthfeel, flavors, and aromas it provides. This is also one of those beers that continues to improve the longer it's allowed to age. Our Old Bearded Stout is bold, boasting an incredible roasty, bready flavors, and aromas of chocolate and coffee. Coming in at right around 8.9%, this is a great beer to "just have one" of, but we won't blame you if you go for a second! Makes 5 gallons Estimated Original Gravity:1.083-93 SRM (Color Range): 38-39 IBUs: 70-80 Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 8.5-10% Our recipe kits DO NOT include grain bags, yeast or priming sugar. To find our yeast recommendations, choose your preferred kit option above and then select the drop-down menu under “Yeast Options”. For more info, click on the recommended yeast(s) below in the “You Might Also Need” section below. All included steeping grains will come milled. Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME) MoreBeer! recipe kits are offered in both Liquid Malt Extract and Dry Malt Extract so that our customers can choose the format that best suits their needs and brewing style. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.

White Labs Yeast | WLP080 Cream Ale Yeast Blend | Beer Yeast | PurePitch® Next Generation | Industry Leading Viability | 150 Billion Cells
WLP080 a blend of ale and lager yeast used to produce a classic cream ale Light fruity notes from the ale yeast, while the lager strain produces clean pilsner-like flavors and a slightly subdued hop bitterness PurePitch® Next Generation offers a precise cell count across all strains so you can calculate the exact pitch rate you need for every batch Scan the barcode on the back of the package and enter your wort stats into the Pitch Rate Calculator White Labs Yeast has been producing high-quality brewer's yeast since 1995 and continues to raise the bar in the art of fermentation Don't need a full package? Put the lid back on and store in the refrigerator for your next batch! WLP080 is a blend of ale and lager yeast strains. Working togetherthese two strains create a clean, crisp, light American lager style ale, with a pleasing estery aroma from the ale yeast contribution. Hop flavors and bitterness are slightly subdued. Slight sulfur will be produced during fermentation, from the lager yeast. WLP080 Cream Ale Yeast Blend is perfect for cream ales, kolsches, hybrid beers, California Commons, wheat beers, pales ales, IPAs, and ambers. PurePitch® Next Generation—now with more yeast, get a foolproof fermentation without a starter! Just twist the cap & pitch! Why PurePitch Next Gen versus other options? Typically yeast manufacturers use a range for how many yeast cells are going into each package. This can vary widely, especially from strain to strain. Next Gen offers a far more precise cell count across all strains allowing you to use the Whitelabs exclusive pitch calculator. Simply scan the barcode on the back of each package to be taken to their online calculator. Enter the volume, strength, and pitching temperature of the wort you are fermenting and the calculator tells you exactly how much yeast to pitch. You will be fermenting like a professional brewer, using the same concentration of yeast every time and enjoying more consistent results. Don't need a full package? Put the lid back on and store in the refrigerator for your next batch. Whitelabs has also increased the viability (the number of living cells in the package) over the shelf life of the yeast. Next Gen strains are grown in their unique, small-batch reactors to assure freshness and then packaged in a special film that allows for off-gassing, assuring that their viability is absolutely industry leading. Attenuation: 75-80% Flocculation: Medium Alcohol Tolerance: 8-12% ABV Optimum Fermentation Temp: 65-70°F Cell Count: 150 Billion For best results we always recommend ordering an ice pack with your liquid yeast. Please Note: When choosing an ice pack option beware that the liquid yeast will not arrive cold even when shipped together. Ice packs and insulated mailing options are designed to keep the yeast colder for longer during shipment, but they will not ensure that your yeast arrives cold. We will not replace liquid yeast that arrives warm. During warmer months we strongly recommend you choose dry yeast.

Duotight Gas Manifold | Push-In Check Valves | 8 mm Duotight
Leak-Proof Double O-Ring Technology: Engineered with high-quality EPDM double O-rings, providing twice the sealing surface of standard push-in fittings for maximum reliability and a leak-free draft setup. Modular & Customizable Gas Control: Features integrated, removable check valves to prevent backflow and a tool-free "pop-tab" design that allows you to easily swap, remove, or plug individual ball valves. Instant Tool-Free Connectivity: Designed for 8mm EVABarrier tubing, the Duotight push-to-connect system allows for secure, seconds-fast installation with flexible mounting options for any kegerator or fermentation chamber. Please Note: The Duotight Manifolds feature 8mm Duotight connections at both ends. One end is intended for your gas line and the other can be used to attach another manifold or a variety of accessories. If you will not be installing anything on the other end, you will need a 8mm Plug to cap the opposite end from your Gas In (see below). Streamline your draft setup with the Duotight Gas Manifold, featuring integrated check valves on every ball valve outlet. These check valves provide essential protection by preventing backflow; however, they can be easily removed if you require gas to flow freely in both directions. 8mm Duotight push-to-connect inlet and outlets allow you to easily connect EVABarrier draft tubing in seconds. Available in 2-Way, 4-Way, and 6-Way configurations. Customization & Modular Design This manifold is designed for flexibility. If you need to shut off specific lines permanently, we recommend using the Duotight 8mm Plug (DUO102). Modifying the unit is straightforward: use a thin flat-head screwdriver to pop the black retainer tabs, allowing you to remove or swap individual ball valves as needed. If you wish to expand your manifold the future, multiple Duotight Manifolds can be connected using the 8mm Rigid Joiners (DUO202). Mounting Solutions Every manifold comes ready for installation with button-head screws for standard mounting. If you prefer not to drill into your kegerator or fermentation chamber, we suggest using Duotight Adhesive Brackets (DUO263) for a secure, tool-free setup. High Performance Double O-Ring Design: The secret to Duotight’s superior sealing performance comes from the fact that they use not one, but two high-quality EPDM O-rings. The double O-ring means they have literally twice the sealing surface when compared with other push-in fittings. This makes them more reliable and significantly reduces the chance of leakage. The double O-ring system also means that tubing can be bent at a much tighter radius without causing leaking issues, which can be an issue with other fittings. This combination of factors makes Duotight the most reliable push-in fittings on the market. EPDM offers excellent chemical resistance for a longer life span. When compared with silicone and vinyl, EPDM has much better gas transmission rates, better wear resistance, and is BPA-free. No Clamps Necessary! We recommend cutting your tubing straight, not on an angle, to ensure the line forms a complete seal. To remove the fitting simply push in the collet and the hose can be removed. Stepless Hose Clamp - 3/4 in. OD Tubing (20 Pack)
Stepless clamps are the best choice for your home draft set up. Standard worm drive hose clamps are nice for reusability, but they aren't ideal for beer and gas lines because they tend to pinch on one side, leading to leaks or degraded pressure holding capacity of your draft system. Stepless clamps apply even compression around the whole diameter of the tubing line, tightening in a perfect circle. They can be tightened with the middle cutter on a pair of pliers, or better yet, with the Stepless Clamp Tool (H1006). For tubing with 3/4" outer diameter (17-20 mm OD) Stainless steel Pack of 20 Kegland Part Number: KL06736

Plastic PET Carboy - 6 Gallon
Your days of lugging heavy glass carboys around are over thanks to these plastic carboys! Our Plastic Carboys are made from 100% Virgin PET plastic, which is far more resistant to oxygen than regular plastic. They’re much lighter and safer than glass, which is good if you need to move your fermenter around the house to find the right temperature. Full carboys can be heavy and hard to maneuver and glass can break resulting in possible injury. In addition to being safer to handle, they’re more economical than glass as well. With no ribs on the sides, there’s no place for yeast and sediment to collect, making cleaning a breeze. We suggest cleaning them with an overnight PBW soak, shake, rinse, and sanitize. You’ll want to avoid vigorous scrubbing during cleaning to avoid scratches. Two special features we love about our PET Carboys are the punted base and extra head space. The punted base makes the carboy easier to hold while carrying or pouring, and prevents sediment disturbance during transfers. The extra head space is a huge plus to make sure you have enough room for when your fermentation gets going. Specifications: Uses a #10 stopper or a 5 Gallon Carboy Hood. Weighs 1.5 lbs Rated to 140 degrees F Height: 19.25 inches Diameter: 11.25 inches Completely taste and odor free Carboys can withstand up to 15 psi of pressure with no deformation Punted base to prevent sediment disturbances during transfer

MoreHaze! Juicy Double IPA | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | Extract
A delicious, juicy, New England Double IPA. Juicy and citrusy with a little dank Includes Columbus, Cascade, Amarillo®, Mosaic®, Simcoe®, and Citra® hops Estimated ABV: 9.1% Estimated IBUs: 32 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer MoreHaze! is a delicious, juicy, NE style double IPA. This beer was brewed as a collaboration between EJ Phair Brewing Co. and MoreBeer! We liked the beer so much that we wanted people to be able to brew it at home. The beer is very high in alcohol (9.1% ABV), low in bitterness, light in color and loaded with hops. We dry hopped this beer in multiple stages, added lots of high protein grains and did not use any clarifying agents, which leads to a hazy beer loaded with flavor. Flavor and aroma is very citrusy (orange, tangerine, grapefruit) and mildly danky. The large addition of wheat and oats adds a soft, pillowy texture to the beer. The feed back was that this beer is delicious and dangerously easy to drink at such a high ABV. Makes 5 gallons Estimated Original Gravity: 1.086-1.090 SRM (Color Range): 4-5 IBUs: 32 Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 9.1% Our recipe kits DO NOT include grain bags, yeast or priming sugar.

BrewBuilt® SlingBlade Electric Heating Element (240V)
The BrewBuilt SlingBlade is an innovative electric heating element designed to promote a rolling boil and even heat distribution. Shaped for Performance and Convenience The SlingBlade's unique crescent-shaped design positions all of the heating power on one side of the kettle, sending thermal energy upward to the surface that then cascades downward on the opposite side of the kettle. This movement creates a dynamic turbulence that evenly distributes heat while creating a vigorous, rolling boil. Other heating elements stick right out into the middle of the kettle or use a full circle design that rings the kettle wall. This can cause an obstruction for immersion chillers or make it difficult to stir without banging into the element. The SlingBlade was designed to avoid these issues. By remaining on one side of the kettle, the element will be out of the way of your immersion chiller, and since the element follows the curvature of the kettle wall, it won't interfere with the flow of wort during whirlpool. Ultra-Low Watt Density An electric element transfers power to your wort by applying heat, but if this heat is too concentrated you will get local heating that is hotter than 212°F. This catalyzes Maillard Reactions, which can lead to darker beer than intended and produce unwanted caramelization. Think of these reactions like roasting a marshmallow. First it gets a light brown, we call this Maillard reactions, a little hotter and it gets a dark brown, we call this caramelization, then it turns black and we call this pyrolysis (burnt or scorched). While all kettles undergo these reactions, an electric element can concentrate more heat into a small area, which can quickly scorch your wort. Our experience is that at 90-watts per square inch recipes need to be modified to account for the element and light beers never come out quite right. The SlingBlade element was designed at 50-watts per square inch to reduce the chance of scorching while still providing a vigorous boil. For even lower watt density, consider the Boil Vigor Controller. Tri-Clamp Connection The SlingBlade installs quickly and easily on any kettle with a T.C. ferrule thanks to the curved, non-circular design. This also makes it a breeze to remove the element for cleaning between uses. The SlingBlade heating elements were designed to fit perfectly with BrewBuilt brewing kettles, but you may find them suitable for other kettles as well. They should be used with T.C. ferrules no longer than 1" in length. For dimensions and recommended minimum kettle diameter, please see the chart below. Opti Malo Plus
Opti'Malo Plus is a natural nutrient developed by Lallemand specifically for Malolactic Fermentation. It is a blend of inactive yeasts rich in amino acids, mineral cofactors, vitamins, cell wall polysaccharides and cellulose. The cellulose provides surface area to keep the bacteria in suspension and to help adsorb toxic compounds that may be present at the end of primary fementation. Opti'Malo Plus serves an analogous function to Fermaid-K for yeast fermentations. To Use: Suspend in a small amount of wine or water (just enough to dissolve it) and add to the wine at the same time as the Malolactic bacteria. Opti'Malo Plus should not be added directly to the rehydration water. Recommended Dosage: Use Opti'Malo Plus at a rate of 1 g/gal of wine. A rough approximate of weight is 1 tsp = 3.1 grams. We highly recommend using a scale to weigh the product for an accurate dose. We do not recommend relying on these rough conversions for accurate dosage rates.

FerMonster Carboy - 6 gal.
Smooth, ribless design prevents yeast and bacteria buildup, making sanitation a breeze Punted bottom and conical top promote sediment collection and reduce oxidation during storage Extra-wide 4" mouth opening simplifies filling, additions, and cleaning Constructed from heavy-duty, virgin PET plastic without plasticizers Made with food-grade and BPA-free materials The Fermonster is a brand new fermenter designed specifically for fermentation. MoreBeer! gave product feedback for over 2 years of development and we think they nailed the design. The large lid allows for easy filling and makes hop or oak additions a breeze. The smooth sides are fantastic for sanitization - no ribs or texture to collect yeast or bacteria. The 6 gallon size is great for most fermentations, and the larger 7 gallon is available for even bigger beers. The punted bottom allows sediment to collect to the sides so that you can siphon liquid from the center. Because they are made from virgin PET plastic they nearly unbreakable and a lot safer than similar glass carboys. Also notice the conical top which reduces surface area if you plan to store beer or wine long term. Made from heavy PET plastic, the same material used in 2 L soda bottles, which is nearly impermeable to oxygen penetration. Due to the thicknes of the material and the overall geometry the Fermonster does not require ribs or dimples for stability. That results in a super smooth interior surface that reduces yeast and sediment buildup making it the easiest to clean, most sanitary PET carboy on the market. The huge 4" opening makes filling a breeze, and cleanup is as easy as wiping down the inside. Fermonsters are easily moved by hand or consider using our Carboy Carrier for even greater ease of use. These fermentors are completely air-tight and the lids sealed tight with an O-Ring. Additional O-Rings and Lids both with and without holes are available for purchase, see our You Might Also Need items below. Features: 4" wide mouth carboy - easy to clean!

Lalvin RC 212 | Dry Wine Yeast
Lalvin RC212 is the premier choice for winemakers looking to produce structured, full-bodied red wines with exceptional color and aromatic depth Whether perfecting a classic Burgundy-style Pinot Noir, crafting a bold Merlot, or refining a smooth Gamay, RC212 consistently delivers elegance, balance, and rich complexity Provides enhanced structure and color in Pinot Noir Lalvin RC212 is a renowned wine yeast strain, originally selected from the Burgundy region of France by the Bureau Interprofessionnel des Vins de Bourgogne (BIVB). It is specifically chosen for its ability to enhance color stability, tannin structure, and aromatic complexity in red wines, particularly Pinot Noir. RC212 promotes the development of ripe berry, bright fruit, and spicy characteristics, making it ideal for crafting robust, age-worthy red wines. Enhanced Color Stability: RC212 promotes deep anthocyanin extraction and color intensity in red wines, protecting color due to low absorbance rates onto yeast cell walls. Rich Tannin Structure: Supports smooth, well-integrated tannins that age gracefully. Alcohol Tolerance: Effective up to 16% ABV, allowing for complete fermentation in high-sugar musts. Attenuation Rate: Typically achieves 85–90% attenuation, ensuring a full, structured finish. Temperature Range: Performs optimally between 64°F (18°C) and 86°F (30°C), perfect for developing rich, full-bodied reds. Medium Flocculation: Settles well post-fermentation, contributing to clarity and stability. Applications: Pinot Noir: Perfectly suited for Burgundy-style Pinot Noir, enhancing its delicate fruit and silky tannins. Merlot & Cabernet Franc: Boosts structure and body, delivering rich fruit and spice. Gamay: Highlights fresh berry notes while enhancing tannin integration. Blended Reds: Suitable for Bordeaux blends and GSM (Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre), bringing forward lush fruit and balance. Flavor Profile: Dark Fruits: Prominent expressions of black cherry, plum, and raspberry. Spice & Earthiness: Subtle hints of cinnamon, clove, and forest floor. Silky Mouthfeel: Enhances the smoothness and roundness of the palate. Aging Potential: Promotes tannin development for wines that improve with time. Usage: Rehydration: Rehydrate in 10 times its weight of chlorine-free water at 95°F (35°C) for 15–20 minutes. Stir gently to prevent clumping. Pitch Rate: Use 1–1.5 grams per gallon (0.25–0.4 grams per liter) for optimal fermentation and color development. Nutrient Addition: Supplement with yeast nutrient to optimize fermentation strength, particularly in high-Brix musts. Fermentation Temperature: Maintain between 64°F and 86°F to optimize color extraction and tannin structure. Extended Maceration: Ideal for long maceration periods to deepen color and enhance tannin complexity. Download the PDF Download the PDF

KegLand Saber Refractometer | Auto Temperature Compensation | LED Light Sample Illumination | Triple Scale | SG Sugar, Brix, SG Wort | Magnetic Rechargeable Battery | Water Resistant | Carrying Case
Track your mash tun run off during sparging, pre-boil gravity, post-boil gravity, and starting gravity before fermentation Readings are almost instantaneous, requires only a few drops, and there's no need to cool your sample thanks to ATC Triple scaled for use in brewing, winemaking, and distilling LED illumination makes it easy to see your readings even in low light environments like your garage or basement Water resistant enclosure—dip the refractometer into your wort without risk of damaging the LED light Includes case, pipette, and USB magnetic charging cable If you want a quick and easy way to take gravity readings during the brewing process, then a refractometer is the tool for the job. Taking hydrometer readings during the brew tends to be a time-consuming process, and by the time you get a reading it may be too late to react. This is because you need to take a large sample and cool it to get an accurate reading. A refractometer allows you take instant gravity readings, with just one drop, at any point during the boil, or even during the run off of the sparge during an all-grain brew. These 'during the process' readings allow you to add more water or boil longer so you can attain exactly the gravity you desire. Traditional refractometers without ATC are calibrated to work at 68°F. The ATC function allows you to use the refractometer in an ambient temperature range of 50-86°F (10-30°C). Since your sample is just one drop, and will quickly adjust to the temperature of the refractometer, the temperature of the sample is irrelevant. This unit also comes with a manual calibration knob that is secured with a lock nut. To calibrate place one drop of distilled water on the testing platform and adjust to zero if necessary. The LED light is a handy feature that helps illuminate the sample and make the scale easier to read. Features: Triple Scaled 0-32 Brix 0-1.130 Specific Gravity for Wort 0-1.130 Specific Gravity for Sugar Water resistant enclosure Adjustable focus eyepiece with rubber grip Automatic Temperature Compensation LED illumination function Rechargeable battery Please Note: The Sabre Refractometer is used to measure unfermented wort. Once alcohol is present, the use of a correction table is advised. KegLand Part Number: KL25072

ACTI-ML
Acti-ML is a Malolactic nutrient used during rehydration of both direct inoculation and standard-type Malolactic Bacteria strains. It is a specific blend of inactive yeasts rich in amino acids, mineral cofactors and vitamins. These inactive yeasts are mixed with cellulose to provide more surface area to help keep the bacteria in suspension. Acti-ML can help strengthen the development of bacteria growth under difficult conditions. Please note that due to its unique formulation, only Acti-ML can be used in the hydration phase of malolactic bacteria. Other ML nutrient formulas are not compatible with this protocol and their use during the hydration phase could severely limit the bacteria's viability! Acti-ML serves an analogous function to Go-Ferm Protect in yeast fermentations. To Use: Mix Acti-ML into 5 times its weight in 25C (77F) chlorine-free water. Add your bacterial culture, then wait 15 minutes before adding to the wine. Dosage rate: 0.84g/gal of wine

Stainless Steel Wort Chiller - 25 ft. x 3/8 in.
Few materials are more durable or more attractive than stainless steel, which is exactly what sets this Stainless Steel Wort Chiller from MoreBeer! apart from similar chillers. This high quality stainless wort chiller includes 8 feet of vinyl tubing attached to both the in and out using a female garden hose fitting on the “in” side, as well as 25 feet of stainless steel tubing measuring 3/8 inch diameter. Although stainless steel takes a little longer to cool your worth than comparable copper tubing, its advantage is that it won’t tarnish between uses. Stainless steel is also much more affordable than copper, which makes this an economical choice that won’t sacrifice quality or real-world effectiveness. This stainless steel wort chiller also contains a brass hose adapter for an even more attractive, high quality look and feel. The Stainless Steel Wort Chiller 25’ x 3/8” from MoreBeer! is made entirely in the U.S. Note: The inner bend on the coils have small indentations that are a natural result of the winding process used during manufacturing. As an upside, these do actually help turbulate the cooling water to eliminate laminar flow (helps increase the cooling capacity). Product Specifications 25' Stainless tubing 8' Vinyl Tubing Brass Hose Adaptor 10" diameter 8" to the top coil 15" to the bend to go over the lip of the kettle.

Kveik Yeastery | K.1 Voss | Multi-Strain Kveik Yeast | Dry Beer Yeast
Produces beers with dominant orange, tangerine, and citrus flavors, complemented by subtle notes of tropical fruit and a mild spiciness Multi-Strain Kveik Yeasts are original blends of kveik yeast cultures rather than isolated single-strain yeasts Ferments effectively across a broad spectrum (59-104°F), offering flexibility for various beer styles Achieves complete fermentation in as little as 72 hours at optimal temperatures (88-95°F), speeding up the brewing process Well-suited for a variety of beer styles, including farmhouse ales, IPAs, pale ales, and sours Voss multi-strain comes from Sigmund Gjernes in Voss. The flavor and aroma primarily stem from orange, tangerine, and citrus. Secondary flavors include tropical fruit and mild spiciness. Voss ferments well between 59-104°F and will ferment faster at higher temperatures. At an optimal temperature of 88-95°F, you can expect fermentation to take up to 72 hours. Voss is well-suited for farmhouse ales, IPAs, pale ales, and sours. The Voss kveik comes from Sigmund Gjernes in Voss, Norway. Voss is situated south of the Jostedal glacier. Voss was somewhat isolated from the larger cities, and most people were farming and self-sustained. People shared kveik mainly with each other, and because of the distance to other settlements, the kveik was rarely mixed with other types. The Voss kveik is unique in taste and aroma, much because of the great work done by Sigmund and others to preserve the yeast throughout the years. The Multi-Strain Difference Kveik Yeastery's unique multi-strain kveik yeasts capture the true essence of traditional Norwegian farmhouse brewing, delivering a depth of flavor and robust fermentation unmatched by single-strain alternatives. While other suppliers offer isolated kveik strains, Kveik Yeastery is the only source for authentic, dried multi-strain blends, providing brewers with the complex, nuanced profiles that define classic kveik. These diverse blends offer a superior brewing experience, unlocking the full potential of this remarkable yeast. Flavor and Aroma Primary flavors: Orange, tangerine and citrus Secondary flavors: Tropical fruit and mild spiciness The intensity is medium at high fermentation temperatures, and at lower temperatures, it will be less intense. Fermentation Voss ferments well from 59°F up to 104°F. The higher fermentation temperature, the faster fermentation. At the optimum temperature 88-95°F expect fermentation to finish in 72 hours. When fermentation is done at low temperatures you can expect fermentation time to increase. For high gravity beers, we recommend users to pitch two packs of yeast and add yeast nutrition to ensure a healthy fermentation. Pitching Pitch directly into wort by sprinkling it across the surface, or rehydrate yeast. For fermentation below 64°F, or high gravity, increase pitching rate to 2.25 g/Gal. One 7 g sachet treats 5 to 8 gallons of wort. One 300 g brewery pouch treats 8.5 bbl of wort. Effective Fermentation Temp: 59-104°F Optimum Fermentation Temp: 88-95°F Flocculation: High Alcohol Tolerance: 13% ABV Attenuation: High

Yeast Starter Kit - 1000 mL
Yeast starters offer higher cell counts at the time the yeast is pitched, leading to faster, healthier fermentations and better tasting beer! This kit contains everything you need for making your own yeast starter in package. When you’re ready to make the move from direct pitching your yeast to making a proper starter, this kit is a great way to get going. The most common size used to make starters using White Labs brand yeast. Same as our Y300 Starter Kit, but with a 1000ml Erlenmeyer flask instead of the 500ml. In the lab world, these flasks are known as "Student Grade," meaning there may be some cosmetic flaws in the glass, and the volume measurements are approximate due to variations in the thickness of the glass walls of the flask. This makes it a great flask for making yeast starters--at a great price! We do not recommend the use of an electric element with these flasks. If this cannot be avoided, we suggest using a larger pot as a hot water bath on the stove.

When not under pressure, it is perfectly safe to transfer wort into the tank below 131°F or to use hot liquids below this temp for cleaning. When under pressure, make sure to keep your fermentation temperature below 95°F and keep the fermenter in an environment that is below 95°F ambient. This is especially important when fermenting with kveik yeast. These strains are known to ferment hot if no temperature control is being used. Exceeding the temperature rating may compromise the tank, leading to a shorter life span or sudden failure to maintain pressure. Even with proper use, we recommend replacing the tank every two years. Please note: when using the FermZilla under pressure, you must perform a water pressure check to ensure your connections are leak proof. To do this, fill your FermZilla up with water, apply at least 15 psi pressure, and check for leaks around all caps and threads. Pressure Stress If you use the FermZilla to ferment under pressure, or you use CO2 to pressure transfer or force carbonate your finished beer, it is very important that you conduct semi-annual inspections of your tank. Even with perfect care, the FermZilla tank may show signs of wear from pressure stress over time. We recommend visually inspecting your tank for stress creases or other signs of wear once or twice a year. A hydro test should be conducted every two years, even if no signs of wear are found. The process is simple: Fill the tank to the brim with water Replace the Red PRV with a Green PRV rated to 4.5 BAR or higher Pressurize the tank to 4 BAR (58 psi) Check for leaks, then replace the Red PRV when finished If leaks or potential points of failure are found, replace the tank before you continue using pressure with your FermZilla. General Care Taking good care of your FermZilla begins with cleaning and sanitizing the unit before and after use. The tank is made from food-grade PET, which is beautifully clear, but can be sensitive to long soaks in cleaners and acid-based sanitizers. In general, we do not recommend leaving products like PBW or StarSan soaking in the tank for more than an hour. Extended soaks have the potential to degrade the PET material and shorten the lifespan of the tank. KegLand Part number: KL47296 NOTE: FermZilla tanks are marked with a manufacturer’s “expiry date”. This does not indicate that the tank is bad after this date; it simply indicates that a hydro test may be in order. 2 years after production and every 2 years after first use, it is recommended that the tank be hydro tested to ensure the tank is holding pressure. You will also need the D1072 Green PRV to perform the test. If you do not plan to pressurize the fermenter, the test is not necessary. FermZilla Tri-Conical 27L & 55L | User Guide

Oxygen Flow Meter w/ Duotight Fittings
Take the guesswork out of oxygenation with this handy flow meter. If you're using pure O2 to oxygenate your wort, you're likely using a disposable cylinder with a simple brass regulator, and have no way to measure how much oxygen is actually being added. You're essentially left to finding the "sweet spot" on the dial when you open the regulator and aim for the same spot on the next use. Get repeatable results by adding this flow meter to your setup. This device will allow you to dial in the flow rate and help you add the same amount of oxygen from batch to batch. The flow meter comes with male flare thread inlet and outlet and includes two Duotight fittings. It's ready for use with 8 mm OD EVABarrier tubing right out of the box, or you can add a swivel nut and barb for use with other size tubings. Once yeast pitching temperatures are reached, we recommend using a 0.5 micron diffusion stone and adding pure O2 at a 1L/minute flow rate for 60 seconds to acheive the recommened 10-14 ppm dissolved oxygen. Features: 1/4" Male Flare Inlet/Outlet Duotight Fittings for 8 mm OD Tubing Included Scaled for 0.1 to 1.5 L/min Flow Rate 3.6" H x 0.9" W Kegland Part number: KL13185
