This is our preferred tubing for use in Barrel Topping Systems. Because of its high elasticity this tubing is easy to attach to/detach from barbed fittings without having to cut the tubing to remove it or use hose clamps to install it (in low pressure applications). This feature allows the user to disassemble the tubing set used to deliver the top-up wine for both sanitation as well as cleaning after use. Cleans up easily and does not get stiff at low temperatures. OD is approximately 3/8"

BSP vs. BSPP
BSP (or BSPT) fittings have a tapered thread and require teflon tape to form a seal between the male and female fitting. BSP fittings are generally intended to be used with their counterpart of the same thread type. ONLY 1/2" BSP fittings are compatible with US-standard NPT fittings of the same size. BSPP fittings, on the other hand, have a straight thread, require a gasket seated inside the female fitting to form a seal, and are not compatible with NPT.

If you want to use the absolute best style of valve available to homebrewers, the butterfly valve is the clear choice.
