Our Single Hop Experiment series is the perfect way to learn the characteristics of individual hop varietals
Includes a small bittering addition of Magnum and three 2 oz additions of your chosen hop for late boil and at dry hopping
Estimated ABV: 5%
Estimated IBUs: 35
Makes 5 gallons of finished beer
We recently had a simple, yet exciting idea: What if we brewed the same recipe, used the same yeast, but changed one thing - the flavor, aroma, and dry hop additions using one hop varietal. That way we could take two beers that are close to identical and pick out the differences in just the hop flavors and aromas! And thus, the Single Hop Experiment was born. This recipe is based off of a simple Pale Ale: Ultralight malt extract, Crystal 15L, Magnum bittering hops, and then a single other hop for the rest of the additions. The malt in this recipe is basic and fairly neutral, the bittering clean and consistent, but the flavor and aroma from the late hop additions will vary; sometimes dramatically! Ever wanted to know what your favorite hop really is? Brew a few of these different Single Hop Experiment recipes to find out!
Estimated Original Gravity:1.049-54
SRM (Color Range): 7-8
IBU's: 35
Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 5%
Our recipe kits DO NOT include grain bags, yeast or priming sugar. To find our yeast recommendations, choose your preferred kit option above and then select the drop-down menu under “Yeast Options”. For more info, click on the recommended yeast(s) below in the “You Might Also Need” section below. All included steeping grains will come milled.
Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME)
MoreBeer! recipe kits are offered in both Liquid Malt Extract and Dry Malt Extract so that our customers can choose the format that best suits their needs and brewing style. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.

Application-Specific Pore Sizes: Available in 0.5-micron for rapid force carbonation or 2-micron for yeast aeration and wine macro-oxygenation.
Two Connection Options: Choose a standard 1/4" barb for direct tubing or a 1/4" MFL thread for quick detachment and easy sanitization in boiling water.
Multi-Gas Versatility: Efficiently diffuses CO2, oxygen, or nitrogen for varied brewing and winemaking processes.
Diffusion stones are highly porous stainless steel components used to efficiently dissolve gases into liquids. In brewing, they are primarily used to force-carbonate kegged beer quickly and consistently, or to aerate wort with oxygen prior to fermentation to ensure healthy yeast growth. In winemaking, these stones are utilized for macro-oxygenation during fermentation—which can help soften tannins and emphasize fruit characteristics—as well as for degassing finished wine with nitrogen.
Micron Size
Choosing between a 0.5-micron and 2-micron stone depends on your specific process. The 0.5-micron stone produces extremely fine bubbles that maximize surface area for rapid gas absorption, making it the standard choice for force-carbonating beer. The 2-micron stone handles a slightly higher gas flow, making it the preferred choice for aerating wort or must (using either compressed oxygen or a high-PSI aeration pump) and for macro-oxygenation in wine.
Connection
Diffusion stones are available with either a standard 1/4" barb or a 1/4" male flare (MFL) thread. The barb provides a secure, traditional friction fit for 1/4" ID tubing, while the threaded flare connection allows you to easily detach the stone from your gas line so it can be dropped directly into boiling water for quick sanitization.
To Sanitize
To properly sanitize your stones, we recommend you run it in a sanitized solution for 5 minutes. If the stone becomes clogged we recommend boiling the stone for 1-3 minutes to help break down anything within it.
You do not want to touch the stainless stone portion with your hands. The oils on your fingers can actually clog the small pores in the stone.

KOMOS Key Features on the Best Value Outdoor Kegerator Available!
Outdoor ready kegerator can be built-in undercounter in your outdoor bar because it vents through the bottom front.
Stainless! Stanless steel exterior and interior and one of the only kegerators available with an air cooled stainless tower and stainless forward sealing faucets
Choose from the classic stainless model faucet or the upgraded stainless flow control model
Faucets mount to a high-quality stainless steel tower, rather than a cheap chrome plated tower
Duotight push-to-connect fittings are newest and easiest way to connect draft lines. Also makes future line replacment super easy!
Included KOMOS Dual Gauge CO2 Regulator maintains consistent pressure and is easily adjusted
Commercial quality compressor keeps beer cold in the warmest situations.
The KOMOS Outdoor Kegerator with stainless NukaTap faucets offers the best value in the USA for an all-stainless steel outdoor rated kegerator. And we mean all stainless! Other models advertised as stainless kegerators often only have stainless exteriors and a painted interior. Similar to only working out your pecs and never your core—looks great, but doesn't really make you that strong. We've sold kegerators for 20 years, and if you're buying an outdoor stainless kegerator, you will definitely want a stainless interior. The interior is where the moisture happens, and where kegerators are most prone to rust over time. Kegerators with stainless interiors are considerably more expensive, and other units with a stainless interior and exterior sport a minimum $2,000 price tag. With an all-stainless interior and exterior, the KOMOS unit is built to operate at a level other kegerators simply can't reach, and offered at price that can't be beat.
In addition to the all-stainless design, the KOMOS Kegerator offers a list of unique features that put it a cut above the rest. Front venting means this unit is perfect as build-in option under your counter. Highly-efficient refrigeration components allow the kegerator to operate quietly while serving ice cold beer in the warmest environments. Stainless faucets are a huge upgrade over the chrome-plated brass faucets commonly included with other kegerators, and you'll quickly recognize the quality of a forward-sealing beer faucet compared to the standard taps seen at your local tavern or in-law's mancave. Heavy duty casters come standard for maximum mobility, and front facing ventilation makes it ideal for using as a built-in kegerator in an outdoor kitchen. Quick and easy assembly thanks to push-to-connect Duotight fittings and EVABarrier draft tubing. Stainless steel tower with cooling fan. Extra wide temperature control range from 28–86°F. And the included Taprite Dual Gauge CO2 Regulator maintains consistent pressure and is easily adjusted.
Wide Temperature Range is Perfect for Homebrewers
The KOMOS kegerator is tailored to a homebrewer's needs. The extended range digital controller that can be set the temperature anywhere between 28 - 76°F. This allows homebrewers to use it for fermentation and is something that other kegerators don't do. Although the unit does not provide heating, the extended range allows you to program the internal temperature at say an ale fermentation temp of 68°F and will provide cooling whenever the temp rises above that set point. With the insulation provided by the kegerator, heating should rarely be needed, but you can always place a low wattage heat wrap inside the unit if ever needed. The digital controller is located inside the unit, keeping the outside looking super clean.
Stainless NukaTap Faucets and Towers
All KOMOS kegerators come with NukaTap stainless steel forward-sealing faucets and a stainless steel draft tower. Forward-sealing means that while in the closed position the faucet will keep beer in it instead of draining out. This keeps the internal parts from getting sticky and reduces the chance of off flavors transferring to your beer while you pour. Most other kegerators on the market will only include the cheapest, standard chrome-plated beer faucets that you'd find at any dive bar. KOMOS kegerators include not only a faucet that features superior pour technology, but made from stainless steel which won't corrode over years of use.
Choose from the classic forward-sealing faucet model or the upgraded flow control model that allows you to dial in the flow rate of the beverage you're dispensing. The flow control faucet is a great option for users that often switch between beer styles with different carbonation levels. No need to rebalance your lines or play with your regulator settings. Instantly make adjustments as you pour to dial in the flow rate. This is also a super convenient feature for when you want to grab a quick growler on your way out. By dialing back the flow rate, you can gently fill your growler so CO2 stays in solution and your beer doesn't pour flat when it comes time to share. Click here to learn more about the Classic and Flow Control faucet models.
Duotight Fittings & EVABarrier Draft Tubing
Duotight and EVABarrier have revolutionized how you connect draft line, and our kegerators come standard with both. We love Duotight push-in fittings for their quick connection, reliable seal, and versatility. Setting up and connecting draft line has never been easier -- no more hose clamps or heating water to soften tubing! Each kegerator comes with Duotight fittings for the tower shanks, regulator, and for splitting gas lines (double & triple tap only). We recommend adding Duotight fittings to use for your keg connections as well. Depending on whether you'll be serving from homebrew kegs or commercial sanke kegs, you'll need two DUO106 or two DUO104 per line.
EVABarrier tubing has been engineered with protection in mind and is both PVC-free and BPA-free. This double walled tubing offers superior protection against oxidation, CO2 loss, and microbial growth. EVA tubing is the future of draft line for professional applications, and now your kegerator will feature the same first-class tubing.
KOMOS Regulator
The included high-quality KOMOS CO2 regulator maintains consistent pressure and features a blow-off PRV with pull ring for safety and to relieve pressure, rubber coated gauges, and a hand knob for easy adjustment. Many kegerator brands will include the cheapest regulator they can find, and while these regulators may work OK out of the box, they will eventually show signs of pressure creep which can lead to foamy beer and other issues with your draft system. Rather than have you rely on a regulator that is "just OK", KOMOS kegerators include their own premium dual gauge regulator with highly accurate precision diaphragm and heavy-duty steel gauges. Included with your kegerator package is a Duotight fitting that attaches to the regulator for an easy, solid, push-to-connect connection with your gas line.
Best Choice for Outdoors
With its stainless steel construction and powerful compressor this Komos Kegerator is the best choice for outdoor kitchens, bbq islands, or poolside placements. The forward-facing vents at the bottom of the kegerator allow this unit to be installed under counter without having to leave 2-3 inches on each side of the kegerators as is required with some other models. The model also features more power than the standard residential version and can stand up to ambient temperatures up to 104°F. You will want to place your kegerator in a position to be protected from rain.
If you plan to install the kegerator under a countertop, the top cover will need to be removed and you will need to install the Build-In Door Hinge, as the top door hinge is removed with the cover.
Easy to Clean
The stainless steel countertop drip tray looks great and couldn't be easier to keep clean. Built-in drip trays look cool, but they're a pain to keep clean. Before long they get pretty disgusting with dried, spilled beer -- attracting fruit flies and becoming a haven for mold and bacteria to grow. They'll often overflow the reservoir inside the kegerator causing a huge mess. Our kegerator's tray is designed to be removed and easily washed.
Best Value & Backed by MoreBeer!
We've looked around and you are getting the very best value on an all stainless steel kegerator in the USA. Plus you're getting MoreBeer! service if something happens in shipment. We double box the unit with foam pads and have very little shipping damage. In the rare and unfortunate scencario your unit arrives damaged just call us up and we will work with you to take care of it.

Expertly crafted stainless steel fruit press made by the original manufacturer of the bladder press Features a slotted screen which mirrors commercial press designs Higher juice yield (65-70%) compared to other press models Can be used with any domestic water supply that provides at least 36 psi of pressure Easy to clean after use—simply spray down with a hose and towel dry Made in Germany by Speidel Speidel was the original manufacturer of the bladder press. While similar to the Italian models in operation, Speidel offers a few quality upgrades. To obtain a better press Speidel uses a slotted screen, similar to what is offered on large commercial presses, instead of a screen with circular perforations. Speidel presses also offer superior hardware and a recessed valve assembly (to reduce accidental breakage). Insert bag and outer splash guard included. Compared to other presses, the Speidel hydro press has a higher juice yield (~65-70%) and works completely without electricity and with minimal effort. This press can be used with any domestic water supply the provides at least 2.5 bar (36 psi) of pressure. Pressing pressure and pressing time is simply regulated by the water flow. These units are extremely easy to care for and can be cleaned quickly by simply spraying it down with a hose after use. You will find the quality you'd expect from a product that is 100% German-made. Speidel has been shifting their bladder presses from painted to all stainless, and we're pretty excited about it. Although the orange painted versions have their own aesthetic appeal, nothing beats the performance and practicality of stainless steel. Stainless is much easier to clean and much more resistant to rust. The painted versions are likely to chip over time through normal wear and tear, creating small crevasses for bacteria to call home. No such worries when working this beautiful, brushed stainless press. Overall height is 42" and basket height is 23.5". A press cycle averages around 45 minutes. Includes: Complete press assembly Inner mesh bag (to keep fruit from getting in the stainless basket and make cleanup easier) Plastic "spray-protection bag" to keep juice from squirting out Fittings to connect garden hose Instruction manual Presses ship in a corrugated box. Minor assembly (attaching legs) is required before use 1 Year Warranty on all parts! Download the PDF FAQ: Can the press be operated with air pressure? No. These are hydraulic presses that may only be operated with water. When operating with compressed air, there is a risk of explosion and a very high risk of injury if the membrane bursts due to excess pressure or damage. Is a minimum water pressure required? In order to ensure the function and the best possible yield, there should be a minimum water pressure of 2-2.5 bar on the press. What if the water supply delivers more than 3 bar? In principle, this is not a problem, as if the water pressure inside the press exceeds 3 bar, the pressure relief valve opens and there is no pressure-related damage. How many apples make how much juice? On average, 50kg (110 lbs) of apples produce around 30-35L (8-9 gal) of juice, depending on the variety and quality of the apples.

Do android brewers dream of electric hops? Hopefully we never have to find out, lest some dystopian future forces intrepid homebrewers to rise up against their robo-brewer overlords to spark a new (human) craft beer revolution. Terpene Dream will take you Offworld and back to experience flavors that some people wouldn't believe. Our take on the subgenre of India Pale Ale referred to as Dank IPA, this beer emphasizes the close genetic relation that hops and cannabis share. The hops selected for this beer contribute to an overall "dank" character that is full of pine, earthy, and resinous notes. A delicious bitterness, high alcohol content, and sturdy malt backbone all perfectly balance the assertive hop flavor. Time to brew.

Enoferm Beta can positively contribute to the sensory profile of the wine, by enhancing spicy and red fruit aromas Delected due to it's good performance under difficult wine conditions and positive sensory contribution Able to induce MLF at temperatures as low as 55°F Lallemand Oenology specializes in the development, production, and marketing of top-grade yeast and bacteria Enoferm Beta is a single strain of Oenococcus oeni (ex Leuconostoc oenos), isolated from a Cabernet Sauvignon wine from Abbruzzi. It was selected due to it's good performance under difficult wine conditions, positive sensory contribution, and security from its low use of sugars and very low volatile acid as well as biogenic amines production. In winery trials, Enoferm Beta was able to induce MLF at temperatures as low as 55°F. Most direct inoculum preparations have difficulty completing MLF unless temperatures > 64°F, while Enoferm Beta can be used in wines with temperatures > 57°F. For more information about ML Bacteria, please see MoreWine!'s Guide to Malolactic Fermentation. 2.5 g: good for 66 gallons 25 g: good for 660 gallons Alcohol tolerance: <15% v/v. SO2 tolerance: <60 ppm pH: >3.2 Temperature: >57°F Different lactic acid bacteria strains do have an impact on the flavor profile of wine, Enoferm Beta can positively contribute to the sensory profile of the wine, by enhancing spicy and red fruit aromas, low diacetyl production, better structure and body, and less astringency and bitterness. You can't store malolactic bacteria once the package has been opened. Note: Malolactic bacteria added during the ferment will compete with the yeast for nutrients and are atagonistic to yeast, potentially resulting in higher VA levels. The best time to add an ML culture is after racking off the gross lees.
Speidel has developed a stainless steel fermenting egg that combines the advantages of the egg shape with the advantages of a stainless steel tank and a unique design. The Black Eye looks like a space satellite from the outside and provides a gentle and well controllable fermentation inside. Due to its unique shape, the yeast can circulate smoothly during the fermentation phase. In science it is assumed that this free circulation is an advantage for the fermentation process and thus for the entire aroma spectrum. Thanks to the perfect welding seams and the highly smooth inner walls, the fermenting chamber is also very easy to clean.

WineStix are a new form of oak integration for wine, designed to give new barrel flavors with an extraction time similar to cubes. The combination of Short and Long grains result in amazing gradience of flavor similar to barrels, while extracting significantly quicker! These are Light toast North American Oak staves, and depending on the wine, will impart flavors of light vanillin, almonds, coconut, and fresh oak. The American Oak Tank Staves are sized to provide New Barrel flavor to a 60 gallon lot of wine. Doing more than 60 gallons? Simply toss in another stave! Another advantage of the WineStix over traditional staves is that these will not stick together like flat staves would, the cross-hatch pattern will result in consistent extraction throughout the life of these. These can also be cut down if necessary to dose a smaller batch of wine. Stave measures 4 in. W x 37 in. L.
