This hop is great for American beers ,for English beers (comparable to UK Fuggle) and even Belgian beers (comparable to Styrian Golding) I use it for bittering and for flavor/aroma. Its a great all around hop, I to grow some myself next season.

I like to use Willamette hops per the More Beer American Pal Ale extract kit recipe. I have made several modified pale ale recipes with these hops and find that these More Beer's hops are always very fresh and the woodsy, spicy characters of the hop come out great as a late addition around 5 minutes before the end of the boil. I have dry hopped with Columbus, African Queen, Amarillo or Centennial with great satisfaction when using the Willamette as the flavor/aroma as the 5 minute addition when brewing pale ales and IPAs with a Cal Ale yeast.

Fast delivery and a great price. Unfortunately the Alpha Acid percentage was a bit lower than expected (3.8%) instead of the advertised and expected 4.0% - 6.0%. I use Willamette whenever I can since I love the delicate flavor and aroma. MoreBeer Rocks!!

I was told once that Williamette is the U.S. version of Fuggles. Adds a real nice fruity, spicey finish to my Ales.

Great hop. Very versatile. It's slightly floral, slightly spicy, slighty herbal, slightly fruity. Very well rounded generic hop profile. I use it all the time as a late addition or instead of Styrian Goldings. You do get a weird minerally and spicy flavor if you dry hop with it. That will diminish, but I wouldn't use too much in a dry hop. A little maybe, but I thought a half ounce in 4 gallons was a bit much on the herby, minerally thing.
