Great little transfer pump. Using to transfer wine between carboys barrels and carboys. Have transferred over a hundred gallons of wine with no issues. Keep in mind that it is a fixed speed not variable. The only thing is that the rubber feet will slid off if you don't mount the pump to a piece of wood or metal. I have tried just clamping to a work top and it will work but once you start moving the pump lets say to clean or place elsewhere the slotted rubber feet will slide off.

It is a diaphragm pump -- any particles or debris in the liquid will probably puncture the diaphragm and then you have a non-operational pump. It will hum but not pump. Kudo's to MoreBeer for arranging a cross shipment of a better quality pump with a filter to avoid the problem. Their customer service is 5 star plus. Our use is for distillate mash where fermentation is 'on grain'. Additionally we use it occasionally for wine related pumping. In both cases there will be particulate matter in the liquid -- small but not compatible with this pump. Look at a H308 if you have any particulates in your liquid.

We used it to rack from our fermenter to bottling pail. Easy to use and the flow rate from floor to counter height was excellent.

Small but powerful! I've struggled over the years racking wine with gravity this solved the issue! I've only tested with 10g so far but it was quick and easy and super easy to clean. We have another 120g to rack soon!

Works great although the design isn’t very well thought out. Would have been cool if it had a suction cup on the bottom to stick it to fermenters :-)

So glad we came across this small affordable and easy to use pump. It worked great for transferring our 30 gallons of wine from a settling tank into carboys. It is definitely going to make home wine making much easier to do.

It clogged the first time I used it. Cleaned it out the next morning and it is now working fine. See what happens when I use it next?

I wish I would have got a lot soner it makes transfer in wine much easier much faster I can do it by myself I wish I would have never waited as long to buy this

Works good not sure how do you clean filter in it after so many uses ?? Came with no instructions.

Transfer pump didn’t arrive with my shipment. Is it arriving in a separate box? If not The invoice says I was charged the $79.99.
How do initially sanitize pump and after use?
Pump some starsan solution through the pump
Use your favorite cleaner (one step pbw) just run the pump with intake hose in a one gallon container and output line back into same container. Repeat for sanitizer solution.
Run thr the solution maybe a gallon and then clean water for another gallon. I find it easy doing just that before and after use to ensure the tubing is clean.
Run sanitized water then distilled water through after and before each use
I just kept recirculating PBW for a bit then did starsan. When I was done transferring I did the same and used the covers that came with the pump to seal the starsan in the pump until the next use.
I use the Super Sucker racking cane and and my transfer tubing to pump a few gallons of sanitizing solution from a bucket into my fermenter (to sanitize it as well) letting the cane and tubing run dry (briefly) at the end. This sanitizes everything for the transfer from kettle to fermenter. After the transfer is complete I pump a gallon or two of sanitizing solution through the system (from and back into the bucket) to clean everything.
