Some things are great because they just plain work. This barb is one of them. No sharp slag or funky threads. It's a clean, simple, and well made necessity for ball valves.

I use this on the inside of my ball valve in my mash tun to connect to the false bottom. Works great!

MoreBeer delivers Quality Stainless items. I used this for the inside of by boil kettle. I placed a 90 elbow on the inside of the kettle from my three piece valve, then added this pointing at the bottom of the kettle to whirlpool and leave trub behind. Works well for me.

Heavy duty , barbs hold tubing good hot or cold. Needs teflon tape on threads.

This barb is good quality with no sharp edges. There was some slight discoloration of the steel at the hex section but this did not impact functionality. I use with 5/16" silicon (very flexible) tubing and it fits perfectly.

Needed this for the ball valve on my conical. Fit and finish not perfect but 100% functional!

Can't beat using stainless steel connections and hardware in homebrewing. Don't have to worry about the lead or rust - plus it looks nice. Just connect this to your ball valve and then connect your tubing and you are ready to go.

This is a great price for a ss barb. This fits perfectly with a ball valve for transferring, and stainless is the way to go.

Not as reliable as camlocks, but much less expensive. Can clog if you're not careful.

Bought this barb for my brew kettle to help facilitate flow into my carboy. It works great as long as you use a screen or bag your hops. If you let even your pellet hops circulate in the boil, this barb is just a touch on the narrow side and it can clog up. Free boiling whole leaf hops with no screen wasn't an option. I switched this barb out with the 1/2" by 1/2" barb and the problem resolved. I would not hesitate to use this for other applications though.

I bought this to upgrade my brewery from brass to stainless. The smaller diameter is perfect for my sparge tank because I don't need to worry about flow or obstructions.
