    This attachement can be used to replace the spigot or the airlock on your Speidel plastic fermenter and give you a 1/2 in. MPT to the outside and a 1/2 in. FPT on the inside. This allows you to attach a variety of components on the inside and outside of your fermenter. This coupling uses the standard speidel lock ring and gasket.

        Add a valve.

        I used this on my 30L Spidel fermentor to extend the drain through my BrewJacket. Placed with the female thread out and added a 3" plastic pipe nipple to pass through the jacket.. I used the plastic nipple to minimize heat transfer. The one I used is PVC in the lawn sprinkler section of Home Depot. Added a ball valve on the outside and I was in business

        Conceptually good but there is no chsnnel to hold the gasket you remove from the plastic cap or spigot so it just sort of floats and didnt akeays seal. Response to emails about this took several days. Another afternarket speidel accessories silicone gasket did not fit this.
