I had one of the red and white spigots, but this one is worlds better. It comes apart and back together much easier, and the chamfered gasket makes a very good seal.The red one was so bad about going back together than eventually I couldn't even assembly it and the handle was on the verge of breaking because it was not seating correctly. I can tell this version will not have any such issues, and the handle is much stronger besides.

Needed for a fermentor.

Used it in a food grade plastic bucket.....works fine

Over all, very good. I overnighted it while installing and cut the gasket. The only thing I would change is to go back to 2 flat gaskets.

MoreBeer mistakenly sent a Fermonster with a hole when I ordered one without the hole. I was told to keep the Fermonster with the hole or throw it away.Throw it away???No, I purchased the spigot and installed it in the Fermonster and now my Fermonster with the spigot is my bottling "bucket".

This spigot replaced an older model that would crack along the threaded shaft, this model is made stronger to avoid cracking if accidentally banged

I've had these for a while now and use them mostly for cider. They work and never had any leaks with simple hand tightening. You must, however, be very careful if you have these in the cold. I had it cold crashing outside in 20's-30's. It was about 42F when I was racking. Once finished I tried pulling the braided hose off and it broke the nozzle off very easily. I may only use silicon hose on this next time since it is much more flexible and should put less stress on the nozzle. These should be made of stronger plastic.

Unlike some of the other reviews, this spigot has worked just fine for me, seems to be holding up well.

Have had 2 of these spigots for almost three years and have never had any leaks. It does sometimes loosen when inserting or removing the bottle filler, but its fine other than that

I've had to replace mine after a few months due to it cracking, but hey...its plastic

Works well for bucket you want to add a spigot to, just be careful not to over tighten or it will leak

Well made and durable. We use a lot of buckets at the Bay Area Craft Beer Festival and by these spigots by the bag.

It is a little tall and you have to mount it higher so the tip doesn't touch the work surface.

I haven't had any problems with these but I do prefer the older ones they used to sell.

This is a cheaply made spigot. I to just twisted my first one in two by putting it on to tight. The second one, I learned to just snug it on. It is very thin plastic so if there is a more durable option, I hope morebeer will choose that.

I don't have any issues with this product per say, the issues are more related to installation and configuration on the bucket. As most people have stated, you either need to make a compromise of installing the spigot higher on the bucket to avoid contact with the nozzle and the surface you are working on, or you have to angle the nozzle on the bucket which can be a little awkward.If you do install the spigot low and with the nozzle pointing straight down, it is fairly easy to bend the plastic and cause it to crack.

Wish there was a bit more to it as the handles can break off under too much force (why I had to replace), but it is not expensive and I just used it as an excuse to change out that old spigot and grommet.

This product worked fine- I don't know how people keep breaking it. But I was able to drill a hole in my bottling bucket and attach it, and it seals just fine. When I set the bucket on the ground after using it, I just unscrew the back, rotate the spigot nozzle 180 degrees, and tighten it. This allows me to have a pretty low drilled hole location. Cheap and easy.

I've used mine on a bottling bucket and fermenter with no leakage or other problems. To keep it from touching the floor, it has to mounted a bit higher than I would like. It would be great to have a pick up tube so you don't have to tilt the bucket when bottling.

This one hits the floor and leaks when you turn it the wrong way. It works, just not as well...

Used it for about 6 months before it broke. thinking of getting 2 more so i can have a extra on hand... just in case!! for the price it not that BAD!3 bucks.. what do you want??? it would be nice if you could rotate it..like my old one!!!

These spigots work great for me. Use them on two 6.5 gal fermenting buckets and two bottling buckets. Spigots and washers are removed for cleaning after each fermenting or bottling. Never had a break, never had a leak. Of course, I keep a couple extras for backup at all times, just in case.
