I had to cut down shank to make it fit into tee but it works great for purging air re-circulation lines and transfers to boil kettle.

Does this ball valve fit a Brewer's Edge Mash and Boil?

Yes it fit my Mash and Boil. The valve that came with the Mash and Boil was garbage and drained real slow. Brewer's edge only had identical replacements for high price. The valve I got at More beer worked fine. And it did not leak.

are the treads 1/2" male pipe thread on the barb piece that screws off the outlet end of the valve or some other type?

My attempt to screw on a 1/2 male NPT x QuickDisconnect failed--the threads on the outlet do not appear to be NPT. Perhaps KegLand or MoreBeer can provide a spec or even a quick disconnect part to replace the barb. What say you MoreBeer?

Just measured this with calipers and it appears to be 0.8" so not standard.

Does it have the safety lock on it? My original doesn't and I don't like it.

what is the thread size? I'm looking to make a sample port on a homemade fermenter and the weldless bulkhead is 1/2" thread
