I ordered this yeast because it had a lot of great reviews and I paid $4.49 for the insulated ice pack (2 ice packs inside) only to have the ice pack arrive opened and the yeast warm. At first I thought the humidity may have caused it to open but then I realized the packer didn't bother to remove the white strip from the adhesive. Very lazy.

Nice, quick and clears easily. I fermented at the low end, 65F and love the flavor. Watch out for the attenuation though, mine went down to 1.004, but was targeting 1.009. It's ready really quick, which is a nice perk.

I have tried every Kolsch yeast I could get my hands on and this is by far the best. Fement warmer than traditional Kolsch yeast and floc faster? Yes please. Produces a crisp clean clear Kolsch style ale far faster than any other Kolsch yeast! I typically ferment at 66F keg on day 14 and it's ready to rock the next weekend.

I've done a couple kolsch batches in the past. But this strain kinda surprised me. It was quite drinkable after only a few days in the keg and dropped pretty clear by then. I'l typically lager a kolsch for a couple of weeks but this one turned out pretty good. Good subtle fruity character every good kolsch should have . Even stated this strain ferments slightly warmer than kolsch I which I appreciate. I'll revisit this yeast in the future for sure.
