I purchased this barrel washer a few years ago and overall have been pleased with the results. Really, my only complaint is that it does not fit through the bung hole of one of my barrels that has a # 9 bung hole. The spinner head is about 1 3/8 in. in diameter. The bung hole is bigger than that on the outside of the barrel, but the interior diameter is smaller (the hole is tapered). So you have to be careful when measuring a bung hole to see if this will fit.

I just received the barrel washer and completed setting it up with the hose bib/FPT adapter. I will use it this weekend and post my experience. I do have a note for your fabricator: the inside of the triangular foot needs to be deburred. One edge on my unit had a somewhat sharp burr from the shear when the material was cut.

Works well but could be better if your water pressure is pretty high. Seems to clean well and loosen debris from the inside.

Works well once you buy the correct fittings to hook it up to you water source. The one thing that could be improved is the width of the foot. It is too narrow for the washer to actually stand up on it.

I ordered the barrel washer for home wine making and it works great. It attaches to a standard garden hose fitting. You'll need decent pressure to spin the top, but as long as you have that it does a great job a washing the complete barrel. Shipping was super fast too. I would purchase again.

It's a well made product with nice machined parts and welds. It's a little tall for a 15 gallon barrel, but it still works -- it does fit through the opening and it did a nice job cleaning out the sediment.In the original washer I received, the head didn't spin. It's not clear why -- there was no obvious problem with it. But MoreWine promptly replaced the problem head and the new one works well. Overall, it's good product and MoreWine has very good service.

What flow rate and pressure does the head work with? I bought it recently and works great with my garden hose but want to use it with a pump for a different application and need to know what specs to aim for. THanks!
Typical household pressure is 30-80 psi (~2-5.5 bars). There are meters that you can purchase that can measure your household pressure to confirm what worked for you.
Sorry no idea I've only hooked it up to a waterline hose.
I work in a commercial brewery. I'm guessing I've cranked this up to around 15-20 gal / minute flow rate with a 1.5HP pump (and valves controlling the speed). I'm surprised it works with a garden hose amount of flow. I wouldn't go any lower than that to get good coverage and velocity from the spray ball.
I also use with garden hose and it works well. I’ve measured roughly 10gpm @ 60 psi on my 3/4” spigot. Since I’m sure it was designed with the hose spigot application in mind and most residential spigots are typically assumed to provide 7-8 gpm @ 40 psi I’d shoot for at least that or play it safer and shoot for 10gpm @ 60psi.
I’m not sure the specification on the product in question but it is designed for garden hose type use and typical public utilities water pressure is around 60-65psi. Code is that public water pressure cannot exceed 80 psi.

How would this work on a 7.5 gal barrel?
Depends on bung hole size We have a few barrels that size tried 2; it fit 1 a bit too big on the other.
I think it might be too large. I’ve got half barrels 29 and 30 gallons on which I use it.
