Nice flavor. Used it for a 60 minute IPA Clone and it was great.

It's tough to say whether or not this malt objectively beats the standard, non-floor malted Maris Otter at the local homebrew shop without doing a side-by-side SMaSH or something, but this is certainly a highly flavorful base malt, and an excellent choice for any British classic. Its lush bread-y and biscuit-y character is evident from the first seconds of milling, and that personality carries through to the finished beer. I'd especially recommend this for any Mild, or any similar setting where you're desperate for the help

I use it in Stouts and New England IPA's

I occasionally use Maris Otter Malt, usually when trying to clone a Bitter or ESB. I do think it improves the flavor over my regular two row base malt. I really like the way this just sort of pulls every thing together in the English style.That being said, I am also one of those budget minded brewers, so I will continue to use my regular base malt for most styles and save the Maris Otter for my English ales.

I know that many will consider this heresy, but I prefer this Maris Otter from Fawcett to the other M.O. malts MoreBeer sells. None of them are bad, this one just suits my tastes the best. The flavor is rich, but not overpowering, even when used for 95% of the grist in a pale ale or bitter. You really can't go wrong with Maris Otter for any British style beer (and a lot of others too).
