    This Hop Blonde is definitely one that you won't forget!  You'll dream about it.  You'll get nervous when it is near, but you know that you two are made for each other.  The recipe is actually a semi-standard blonde recipe, but it's that "Simcoe® personality" that makes this blonde so unique!  Our Hop Blonde is well balanced, and the dry hop addition makes this beer slightly complex, but still easy to enjoy.

    • IBUs: 26-33
    • Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 4.7%

    Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME)

LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.

        Hop Blonde ale

        This was probably the best blond, summer ale I have brewed. The combination of hops gives this beer a very nice twist from the usual summer ales I have brewed. This one may end up being brewed year round.

        Nice hop flavor. Great for the summer siting by the pool. I will put this beer on my rotation of brews, plus the wife loved it.

        A nice clean ale for summer...

        Altered the recipe slightly, and didn't dry hop it. Came out great. Will definitely brew this again.

        I got this hopping for something that was similar to a chainbreaker. As far as that it failed but it came out more like a twisted tea. All in all it is a very good beer and would be the perfect summer beer
