Great service and good product. Using this in a whisky wash with caramel malt barley and 2 row malt.

I have found Bairds chocolate to be the best tasting chocolate malt available. It has a very distinctive and bright chocolate flavor, whereas others seem to have more burnt and coffee flavors. The flavor is very complementary to caramels in the medium range.

We made a Porter that borders on being a Stout. It has very nice Chocolate and Coffee flavors. ABV came out a little over 6%. Very happy with our results.

that I need to buy more. I like to substitute this in for some of the black roasted barley in my stouts. It doesn't have that really strong burnt flavor and I think that the right combinations makes the best stouts.

It is easy to get carried away with this malt. It will shine through other grains, so it doesn't need to be upped in bigger bolder beers.

I have a favorite Strong Scottish recipe that comes together around this malt; a lovely dark flavor with little tannins. I love it, and probably overuse it.
