One of (if not the) best Pale Ales I have ever made. It came out to be about 6.0 ABV, and is perfectly balanced. It almost seems on the mild side in terms of taste, but don't let that fool you. There is some nice complexity and mouthfeel that lingers, just the right amount of hoppiness for a pale ale. I almost had to question whether I added oats to the grain bill since it has such a nice creamy texture and full head that retains well after pour. But no oats, it's just so well balanced, great for anytime, any meal, any weather, any occasion. Will brew again!

About my 10th time brewing all grain and 4th different pale ale recipe. This has been the best so far for sure.

A great pale ale clone o Sierra Madre. This is truly in line with a traditional pale ale & I one of my standard line up for brewing A medium body beer with excellent flavor. No for hop heads , but can be enjoyed by a number of different types of beer lovers.

A little to bitter much more then the original.

Drinking it now. Easy to make, good flavor. I will be buying it again.

As my title states, it's not my favorite beer that I've made but I think it's really good and came out nice for me. Right around 5% abv. I just didn't have enough malt for my system to get higher and I let it sit for about 3 weeks in the primary fermenter. Can't remember how much malt comes with the kit, but I'll need to add more if I ever brew this recipe again.

Liked the flavor the first batch but my efficiency caused a lower gravity that resulted in a more “session-like” ABV. Bought a second time and purchased extra malt to help with gravity during the mash process.lLooking forward to it coming out of the fermenter.

Share with your friends. Everyone will love this one. Great craft beer. Check the malt temperature, and make sure it's in range, it adds nice flavor at the right temperature. I used liquid yeast on this one and will be buying this again.

I have been homebrewing for 5 years with extracts and partial mashes. This is my first attempt at all grain brewing. I was totally satisfied with the process and the finished product. I would recommend this recipe.

I've tried the extract and all grain kit. All grain is hands down much better! Once my neighbors tasted this brew my keg was gone within a week. It's a little hoppier than SNPA but that's not a bad thing. I recommend dry hopping on the shorter side, two or three days max just to minimize any grassy character from dry hopping. Definitely a brew to keep in the regular rotation. Solid pale ale with good but not quite IPA-level hop bite. It's a crowd pleaser.

3rd time ordering. First IPA I've ever brewed and has turned out great each time even though I'm a novice. I'd recommend brewing per recipe instructions the first time and then add extra dry hop additions outside of the recipe for your consecutive brews. I used safale us-05. 7 days in primary, 10 days in keg at 55° then serve once carbed. (17 days + carb time).

I overshot my gravity and modified the hop schedule to compensate. I then dry hopped during active fermentation with an ounce of Cascade Cryhops. Wow! What a beer!

One of my current favorite pale ales

I made this kit all grain and we had the real deal. And me and my wife could not tell the difference which one was which. Even the color was spot on. My favorite kit here nice job morebeer!!
