    Serious homebrewers want only the best hardware touching their brew to prevent “off” flavors. This beer faucet shank is made from high quality 304 stainless steel. 
     
    This shank is sold as a complete kit and ready to install--just add tubing and a hose clamp. It comes with a back nut, plastic collar, hex nut, and a 1/4" barb. Requires a 1" hole saw for installation. Due to the length of the back nut and collar, the total wall width the shank can bridge once installed is about 2 3/4".

    Dimensions:

    • 5-1/4" - Total Length (Tip to Tip)
    • 4-1/4" - Shank Length (Without Nut & Nipple)
    • 3" - Thread Length

        I bought 3 of these a few months ago for my keezer build and they have worked great, no issues. My keezer collar is a 1x6 with rigid insulation behind it, so about 2 1/4" to go through and this was a good size to use.

        All stainless is a must

        No question about it, you need to have all stainless steel in your draft system. I ordered this with the stainless Perlick faucet. My first jockey box setup had off flavors every time. Not anymore since I upgraded to all stainless steel. The only downside to this product is you have to thread the nipple on, instead of it being welded onto the end of the shank. That is the only change I would make to this product.

        Is this compatible with Nukatap with self closing springs?

        Yes I have the exact same setup with self closing springs and no issues. I also have the nukatap flow control with self closing springs (they are not the same springs that fit the standard nukatap faucets.) and both work with this same shank.

        Can I change the shank tailpiece from 1/4"to a 3/8" so it matches up with the 3/8" SS coil MoreBeer sells?

        Yes unlike other shanks with a fixed tailpiece the tailpiece on this one is removeable and comes with a hex nut and washer. Just order another tailpiece of the size you need to match the draft coil.

        I ordered a shank and states may contain lead. Any concern here?

        If this part is truly 100% Stainless that touches beer lead (e.g. chrome plated brass) should not be a concern? Morebeer please clarify if there are any chome-plated/brass parts or is 100% stainless?
