This American Lite Ale recipe is a real gem. After years of brewing IPAs and experimenting with various styles, I figured it was time to craft something more approachable for the family. Not everyone here is a hop head. Interestingly, my OG hit 1.048 and FG settled at 1.010, giving me a 4.99% ABV, which is a bit higher than the 3.6% listed on the site. No complaints here, though! The flavor is spot on, reminiscent of a commercially produced Lite Lager, even though it's an ale. I'm thrilled with the outcome-clean, crisp, and zero off flavors. Even my wife is a fan. This will be a perfect match for our crab feast this weekend. Definitely brewing this one again.

A great “drink all day but never get drunk” beer. It’s not going to wow your tastebuds but in its natural state it’s a great “light” beer recipe. Easily adaptable to flavor additives if you want to mix it up.

This could be a "go to" in hot weather. Cleared nicely when crash chilled.

Very mild and light. Tastes about the same as most of the store bought light beers. Not very malty or hoppy. Everyone that has tried it has wanted more. I already have a second kit to brew for this summer.
