This is exactly the fermenter I was looking for. Very well constructed and works perfectly. Got very tired of hard to handle and clean glass carboys. It's very easy to maneuver and surely won't break if dropped.
Great addition to my homebrew tools.
Awesome.
I have been using the 5 gal bucket method for a long time. The lid cracked and the bucket discolored. I needed better. The Ss fermenter made things a lot easier and better.I say Kick the Bucket and get the Ss fermenter.
Love the design, easy to install and clean
The 7 gallon stainless bucket fermenter is a great addition to my one gallon glass fermenters. It allows me to recreate a small batch I would enjoy on a larger scale. And it has!! I make mead at home which without any bragging rights is by far better than any I have bought in stores. Friends and family are happy about my making mead at home as well. Thank you Morebeer!! You have a customer here, again and again.
I got two of these and love them! I modified my kids per SS Brewtech and added a 1.5" TC connector for a blow off valve and low pressure transfer valve. Super easy to clean and the rotating racking arm and conical bottom keep the trub out of the racking process. Highly recommend!
I like the one just like it that I bought about a year ago. If not I wouldn't have bought another. The box the new one arrived in was in perfect condition. The rim of the lid on the new one is dented. I have no doubt that it will work okay, otherwise I would have returned it. It was obviously dinged before it was packed. Always kinda bugs me when I pay full price for something that should be in a scratch and dent sale. This is no reflection on MoreBeer.
It's a very nice addition to our brewing room. The only issue so far are the o ring seals for the spigot. They deform easily and create a leak. I purchased some silicone gaskets the right size. Problem solved. This stainless fermenter is way Better than the plastic fermenters we have. No more bucket's!! ??
Easy to put together and clean up with tsp / pbr /starsan
A little disappointed on how thin the stainless is. Also I think the manufacturer should passivate the stainless before it is shipped to the customer. A lot of work to get this vessel ready for brewing. Lots on controversy on how and what to use to passivate the stainless. When I finally did get around to passivating the stainless I got a real strong smell of the metal coming from the stainless. When I finished passivating with citric acid the stainless was odorless and spotless. Be sure to passivate your stainless or you will definitely get an off taste to your beer
I should have two of these. Works great easy to clean and the racking tube is a great idea.
looks nice. got it because I'm real tired of siphoning. wish i would've gotten one sooner. the handles make it easier to carry than the bucket handle.
I use this as my priamary fermenter. I love the stainless steal and easy cleaing.I have made a blow off hose for high ABV beers and you may want to prepare for such things as well
This is exactly the fermenter I was looking for. Very well constructed and works perfectly. Got very tired of hard to handle and clean glass carboys. It's very easy to maneuver and surely won't break if dropped.
This an upgrade from my initial plastic bucket fermenter and I couldn't be more pleased!. Well made, had no issues with the seal and my first beer using this fermenter turned out excellent! Easy to clean also.
Love it. Just as described.
This is a great product. It is the third Brew Bucket we’ve purchased. They are a huge upgrade over a plastic bucket or carboy.
Haven’t used it yet but great build quality!
Easier to clean than glass, no pipe cleaners. Cut down my cleaning and setup time by half. Can dry-hop with a bag instead of dropping hops directly into beer for less troob. No siphon needed to transfer to racking bucket/keg. Much lighter and easier to carry than a 6.5 glass carboy. Legs are very sturdy.I had some leakage due to conflicting instructions on how to install the spigot. USE BOTH GASKETS INCLUDED. After a few turns of the spigot to angle the arm, there was some leakage around the spigot.Things to improve for next batch.
Great product very easy to use and clean
So far so good! Exactly as described.
Beautiful piece of equipment. Easy to clean. I’m going to buy another.
It was easy to assemble, clean and have ready in just a couple of hours. The only thing I was disappointed in was that the legs were not all level so it has a slight wobble.
Have brewed 2 batches so far and this worked as advertised. I did have a problem with dry hops clogging the valve and had to syphone into a secondary fermenter but it's hard to blame the valve for that.
I have the mini bucket which is great and this is even better.
Did a porter in it last week beer came out clean have to remember the yeast is below the drain and its about a half gallon next time I will add more to the tank to compensate I added to the 5 gal line should have went above it half way beer turned out great but only got 4.5 gallons. Next time I know what to do. Easy clean up nice features and looks like it will last as long as I don't drop the lid on it side might be hard to keep sealed.
I brewed three batches and kept each at the specific temperature steps with the FTSs during repeated heat waves during the month. Each batch was perfect! And cleaning the brew Bucket is so easy!I recommend adding the right angle fitting to use a blow-off tube during fermenting, then attached it to CO2 to transfer into a keg to minimize oxidation.Cheers!
This is a quality item for sure, and having run a batch through fermentation recently it is a lot easier in many ways than a carboy. It costs a lot more for sure, but cleaning/sanitizing, moving, etc. are much easier and worth the additional cost to me. Presumably the lifespan will be much longer (and safer) than a carboy. The conical bottom and the ability to “rotate the valve/racking arm†do combine to get yeast/trub out of the way while transferring beer out. I am glad I made the switch, but not being able to see the fermentation is a bit of a drawback.
