Even with perfectly balanced draft lines, first pour foam is sometimes unavoidable simply due to the temperature of the faucet itself. Running beer through the faucet will drop the temperature, and the foaming will subside, but not without a bit of wasted beer from pouring off excess head. The NukaTap Stealth Bomber beer faucet drops to beer serving temperature much faster thanks to its lower thermal mass. Simply put, the bulkier the faucet is, the more beer is needed to flow through and chill the tap. You can use pass through shanks for beer entry through the back side of a cooler. Drill a 1" hole through the cooler, insert the shank, and use the two attached nuts to tighten up on the cooler. You will need nuts and nipples of the size line you are working with as well as hose clamps. We do not use pass through shanks in our boxes because we drill a hole that is same size as the line so we can pull it back in when we are traveling. However there might be instances where they would be appropriate. Pass through shanks can also be used to put through the side of a refrigerator to pass a gas line through.

New Innovative Shank Design Unlike other shank kits, this kit doesn't use a bulky 5/8" threaded shank. The issue with a standard draft shank is that acts as a heat sink, and due to the fact that most shanks sit inside an insulated wall, this results in a substantial amount of warm beer coming out of the tap before cold beer starts flowing. This results in substantial "first pour foam" effect which wastes beer, can result in sour beer, and ultimately negatively effects the quality of the beverages being served. This new design has the beer line feed all the way directly up to the back of the faucet, greatly reducing the volume of non-refrigerated beer. No Spinning Shanks If you have ever installed a traditional 5/8" long shank, you will know how frustrating it is when you use the faucet and it starts rotating. This new design of shank alternative uses three screws that lock the tap into a fixed position and prevents the taps from rotating. If you loosen the 1/2" stainless tap collet you can still have the flexibility to rotate the faucet to any orientation, but once the collet is tight, interlocking teeth on this shank kit and the NukaTap Mini will hold the tap permanently in the correct orientation. Easy Installation Another advantage compared to standard shanks is that this kit doesn't require you to drill a large 3/4"-1" hole through the wall. As no shank is required, only a hole large enough to accommodate the beer line is required. As a result, an 8mm (5/16") conventional drill bit is all that is necessary for installation. However, if you are concerned about the small amount of beer sitting in the draft line inside the wall not being refrigerated, you can also shell out a larger diameter of foam on the inside of the wall to allow cold air to circulate around the beer line thus reducing the non-refrigerated beer in the line even more. If you wanted to do this the Step Drill Bit is the best tool for the job. Any Wall Thickness Other shank kits will require you to purchase a specific length shank for a specific wall thickness. This new shank alternative will fit any wall thickness. If you have wall thicknesses that are less than 2.7" thick then you can use the included screws that have "snap off" points so you can simply cut the screws down to the desired length. However, if the wall is thicker than 2.7" you can simply purchase a conventional screw from the hardware store and screw the shank kit to your wall. If the substrate is firm enough you may not even need to go all the way through the wall so a common 1-1/4" long screw may be all that is required. The KOMOS DraftMaster is a perfect solution for small beer-serving establishments. This is very unique, dual purpose glycol beer chiller, with the ability to chill a trunk line while also being able to cool 4 additional unfrigerated beers inline. It features 4 built-in stainless steel draft coils that remain submersed in a glycol solution reservoir, as well as a dedicated submersible draft line pump that can be used to pump glycol solution through flooded draft towers or other draft line chilling apparatuses.
The draft coils are made from 8 mm OD stainless steel tubing. The inlets and outlets come ready for use with 8 mm Duotight fittings, or standard hose clamp / compression fittings if preferred. The temperature drop of the beverage after one pass through the coil will depend on several factors, such as the temp of the pre-chilled beer, reservoir solution, and ambient environment. Ideally, the DraftMaster should be used in ambient temperatures below 80°F with a 30% glycol solution. If operating the unit in hotter climates or with a non-glycol cooling solution, if you are using the inline chilling coils you may need to pass the beverage through two coils to lower it to serving temperature.
Although the DraftMaster is ideally used with propylene glycol to lower the cooling solution below 32°F, home users may find it works perfectly well with 100% distilled/RO water. We recommend leaving the reservoir temperature at or above 38°F when using water only, which will work well for cooling a single KOMOS Cobra tower or other glycol-ready draft tower.

Extra Wide Temperature Range is Perfect for Homebrewers The KOMOS kegerator is tailored to a homebrewer's needs. Take, for example, the extended range digital controller with an adjustable temperature range from 26 - 82°F. This allows homebrewers to use as fermentation chamber and is something that other kegerators don't do. Although the unit does not provide heating, the extended range allows you to program the internal temperature at say an ale fermentation temp of 68°F and will provide cooling whenever the temp rises above that set point. With the insulation provided by the kegerator, heating should rarely be needed, but you can always place a low wattage heat wrap inside the unit if ever needed. The digital controller always displays the temperature and is easily adjusted from the front of the kegerator with the door closed. It's pretty nice. KOMOS Regulator The included high-quality KOMOS CO2 regulator maintains consistent pressure and features a blow-off PRV with pull ring for safety and to relieve pressure, rubber coated gauges, and a hand knob for easy adjustment. Many kegerator brands will include the cheapest regulator they can find, and while these regulators may work OK out of the box, they will eventually show signs of pressure creep which can lead to foamy beer and other issues with your draft system. Rather than have you rely on a regulator that is "just OK", KOMOS kegerators include their own premium dual gauge regulator with highly accurate precision diaphragm and heavy-duty steel gauges. Compatible with EVABarrier 9.5 mm OD tubing (D1719). Duotight fittings are high-quality push-in fittings that seal tight and offer superior sealing capacity due to the double O-ring sealing design. Brand new aluminum 2.5 lb CO2 tank made from high strength aluminum alloy and high quality CGA320 valves. Because it is made of aluminum rather than steel you can feel confident that it won’t rust. It’s called a 2.5 lb tank because it holds 2.5 lbs of compressed (liquified) CO2. 2.5 lbs of CO2 is enough to dispense about 4x 5-gallon kegs of homebrew.
Aluminum tanks are superior to steel because they do not rust. All tanks are shipped empty. To have tanks filled you will want to visit your local welding supply shop. Because you are purchasing a new tank you can choose to either have it filled or to exchange it for a filled tank at your local gas supplier. If you have this tank filled the local gas supplier is responsible for affixing the correct neck label that identifies the gas being put in the cylinder.

Installation note: On a fridge there is generally no coolant lines running through the door but please check to see there are no lines connecting the door and the rest of the refrigerator. To test for coolant lines on a freezer start with a warm freezer then plug the unit in with the lid open. You should be able to see the lines form condensation on the inside of the freezer where there are lines running. Please still use caution when drilling.

But, each of these different beverages requires a different serving pressure, and nobody wants to go buy an extra CO2 tank and regulator for each different beverage. Enter the Secondary Regulator!
Standard multi-body CO2 regulators are heavy and can make a CO2 tank prone to tipping over, especially as it gets empty. Combine that with the fact that there aren’t Gauge Cages for multi-body regulators and you’ve got a recipe for disaster.
Secondary regulators do not attach directly to CO2 tanks, instead mounting to the side or wall of a fridge, kegerator or jockey box. They allow you run multiple keg pressures from one tank of gas.
