With properly conditioned water, you’ll unlock better fermentation, enhanced enzyme activity, and a cleaner, more expressive finish that allows your beer’s true character to shine.
Designed to work with: Reverse osmosis (RO), deionized (DI), or distilled water
Each pack treats: 6 gallons (23 L) of brewing water
For larger batches, add an additional 2 g per gallon
Instructions
Use only with reverse osmosis (RO), deionized (DI), or distilled water.
Add the full contents of this pack to 6 gallons (23 L) of brewing water before mashing. Stir until dissolved.
Mash in as usual — no additional acid or salt adjustments are typically required.
Proceed with your normal brewing process.
Note: These salts are designed to set mash pH without acid additions. Because malt acidity varies, you may wish to verify your mash pH and make small corrections if needed, though this is rarely necessary. Dextrose is used in trace amounts as a processing aid for blend consistency and flow and does not affect fermentation or flavor.

Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME)
MoreBeer! recipe kits are offered in both Liquid Malt Extract and Dry Malt Extract so that our customers can choose the format that best suits their needs and brewing style. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.
Elevate your brewing game with the 220V 17 Gallon Gen 4 BrewZilla. This cutting-edge system combines more power & capcity with innovative features like wireless connectivity via WiFi & Bluetooth, allowing you to heat faster while you control and monitor your brew day, ensuring precision, convenience, and exceptional beer batch after batch!
WiFi / Bluetooth enabled RAPT Controller tracks your brewday and automatically uploads detailed information to the RAPT portal
The top mounted RAPT Controller can be tilted upward for easy viewing, or detached from the unit to mount it on the wall or placed on your bench
Mirror polished dome shaped bottom with center drain — get every last bit of wort into your fermenter while the perforated bottom screen filters out 95% of hot break and hop matter
Make larger batches or higher gravity beers! BrewZilla offers the largest malt pipe capacity for units in its size range, and the Gen 4 unit has a 30% larger malt pipe compared to the previous generation
Perforated bottom on the newly designed malt pipe allows for improved mash recirculation flow without sacrificing efficiency
Element power percentage can be adjusted via the RAPT Controller. Go full power to heat up quickly, or dial it down so you don’t overshoot your strike water temp
The built-in pump is plumbed to both the recirculation and arm and the bottom ball valve. Recirculate wort during your mash, then close the recirculation valve and pump wort to your fermenter via the bottom valve
Pair with the RAPT-enabled Bluetooth Thermometer, allowing your BrewZilla to calculate a core mash temperature reading and more accurately control temperatures and mash steps
More RAPT-enabled accessories are coming, and future firmware updates can be downloaded to the RAPT Controller itself over the internet
WiFi/Bluetooth Enabled RAPT Controller
The RAPT Controller is mounted to the top of the boiler body, allowing for easy operation when you have the unit set on the ground. The controller can be tilted upwards to give you an even better view, or it can be removed from the BrewZilla entirely if you’d prefer to mount the controller on your wall or lay it down on a workbench. From the controller, you’ll orchestrate your entire brew day. Program mash steps, dial in element power, and operate the integrated pump all from one screen.
But the RAPT Controller is much more than a beautiful, full-color display switch board. Once synced to the RAPT Portal, you’ll be able to track, record and monitor your brews online. No need for handwriting notes or punching brew day details into your phone – all of the data from your brew is automatically logged to your portal profile. This information doesn’t just include your mash profile; it also captures detailed information about your element power and pump activity, opening the door for very precise repeatability.
And the RAPT Portal isn’t just a digital archive for your brew days. With your BrewZilla powered on, you can control your brewery from virtually anywhere using your phone’s web browser. Not sure when you’ll be home from work or your kid’s ball game going into extra innings? No problem! Before you head out, simply log into the RAPT Portal from your phone and tell the BrewZilla to start heating your strike water. Along with remote control, the portal enables you to program alarms and push notifications for all of your boil additions. We’ve all been caught up with a side task and failed to throw in that yeast nutrient or clarifying agent at the end of the boil, but the BrewZilla has the back of even the most forgetful brewer!
But wait, there’s more! In addition to WiFi connectivity, the RAPT Controller is also a Bluetooth gateway device. KegLand is currently developing various Bluetooth devices such as the Bluetooth Beacon Thermometer and other sensors which will be compatible with your brewery upon release. The RAPT Controller is able to receive information from Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices, adjusting its processes based on this new stream of information while simultaneously logging it to your RAPT Portal. With the Bluetooth Beacon Thermometer, for example, you’ll be able to feed temperature readings from the top of your mash bed to the controller. The controller will then compare this reading with the main temp probe reading at the base of the kettle and adjust element cycling based on these combined readings.
Finally, the RAPT Controller WiFi connectivity allows you to update the controller’s firmware with a single click. Take advantage of new features and accessories as soon as they become available by simply keeping your BrewZilla connected to your local WiFi network. And again, the WiFi is already built-in! No need to come back for an expensive add-on accessory down the road.
High Capacity Malt Pipe
With an approximately 41.5 lb capacity, the BrewZilla can mash nearly 20% more grain than similar sized models of the Anvil Foundry and Grainfather G70. If you want to fill your fermenter with more than a 5-gallon batch worth of wort, or brew the highest gravity beer recipes, the BrewZilla is the brewhouse for the job. And the included malt pipe is just the beginning. If you want to expand your brewery’s grain capacity even further, KegLand makes Boiler Extension Kits and Extended Malt Pipes for that very purpose. The malt pipe features a perforated section at the bottom which improves mash recirculation flow without sacrificing efficiency.
Concave Base with Center Draining
Leave no wort behind! The concave base with center drain means you’ll be able to extract every last drop of wort to your fermenter. If you’ve brewed in a traditional flat bottom kettle, this center drain may be a bit perplexing at first. Many brewers are used to whirlpooling after the boil to pull hop matter into the center of the kettle, then transfer out using a pick-up tube that pulls from the kettle wall in order to avoid sucking up the solids. But fear not! One of the key features of the BrewZilla is the false bottom protection screen. This screen avoids the need for doing a whirlpool, filtering wort as it transfers and blocking more than 95% of hops and hot break from getting sucked into the pump. This not only prevents blocked pump issues, it also increases the efficiency of your brewhouse by eliminating kettle loss from wort that may have otherwise been left behind.
Ultra Low Watt Density Elements
The concave base on the BrewZilla also allowed for larger heating elements with significantly lower watt density than other breweries. When a lot of energy is coming off of a small element, the local temperature near the element can be so high that it scorches the wort and causes caramelization. Lower watt density essentially means you can produce lighter color beers that would otherwise have fallen victim to caramelization effect. It also reduces that chance of boilovers and reduces stress on the elements which extends their life expectancy.
Easy Access Built-In Pump
The built-in pump allows you to recirculate your wort during the mash for improved efficiency and more even temperature distribution. But it can also be used to transfer your wort from kettle to fermenter rather than relying on a gravity feed, and with the optional CIP Rotar, you can used the pump to clean your BrewZilla (or fermenter) after every use. During your brew day you’ll be able to control the pump from the RAPT Controller with a dedicated button for turning the pump on and off. Another feature you’ll find on the controller is adjusting the pump flow. This doesn’t control the actual volume of the flow (you can do that from the ball valve located on the recirculation arm), but rather cycles the pump on and off automatically based on your setting. At 100%, the pump remains on continuously. But at 80%, the pump will cycle to be on 80% of the time and off 20% of the time. This may not be a feature that every brewer thinks they need, but it’s an excellent way to avoid running the pump dry accidentally, as the time the pump is off allows recirculating wort to filter through the grain bed and back into the pump inlet.
If you flip over the boiler, you’ll find the magnetic drive pump and all the plumbing is right at your fingertips. This means you don’t have to disassemble the base in order to access the pump for cleaning or maintenance if required. It also means the plumbing can be changed more easily too. For instance, the unit comes as standard with the plumbing from the pump feeding both the recirculation arm and the transfer valve, but you change this so the tap outlet bypasses the pump if you prefer.
MoreBeer!'s Final Word
We’ve been selling all-in-one brewing systems ever since they first hit the market, and we have to say that the Gen 4 BrewZilla is not only the most feature-packed unit ever made, it’s also offered at an incredibly competitive price point when compared to other systems. You’ll get all of the cutting edge Bluetooth technology you’d get with the Grainfather and at an exceptionally lower price tag. Plus, you get the WiFi capabilities as standard, rather than as a $100 add-on accessory. When it comes to mash recirculation, that’s yet another built-in feature on the BrewZilla, and the pump can also be used for transferring and CIP cleaning. The Foundry has a great starting price, but if you want to unlock its full potential, you’ll need to spend another $100 for the recirculation pump kit. What’s more, no other system in the same ‘weight class’ has the same grain capacity. And if the standard capacity isn’t quite enough, the BrewZilla can be easily upgraded with a Boiler Body Extension Kit and Extended Malt Pipe. When you purchase the BrewZilla, you can feel confident that you’re investing in a top shelf system and all of the critical features you’re expecting will be included.
Perfect for Distillation
If you want to expand your lineup of homemade libations to offer Spirits in addition to Ales & Lagers, the BrewZilla makes an excellent pot still! Add the Distillation Lid upgrade and pair it with an AlcoEngine Copper Reflux Condenser or Copper Pot Still Top. AlcoEngine Stills have been selling on the home market for years and offer some of the most affordable, beginner-friendly stills you'll find.

KegLand Part Number: KL27458
Please note: due to patent restrictions in the United States, the malt pipe has been redesigned with one set of bottom feet. This model does not include the "two stage" malt pipe as advertised by KegLand and featured in previous MoreBeer! YouTube videos.
Please Note: When removing the malt pipe to drain after mashing, it is important to do so slowly rather than in one swift pull. If the malt pipe is removed all at once when it is full of wort, it is possible for the draining wort to spray out and over the rim of the brewery through the perforated bottom. Remove the malt pipe slowly so that some of the wort can drain out before it is fully removed and set on its bottom feet. This can be done by hand on the 35L unit, but for the 65L and 100L units we highly recommend using the Pulley System for removing the malt pipe.
Warning: Do not engage the adjustable lid clamps when brewing with the BrewZilla's standard glass lid. The clamps are only intended to be used with distillation lids or other metal accessories.
Warning: If you are going to use an extension cord with the BrewZilla, you must ensure that the cord is the correct gauge and properly rated to suit the power requirements of your brewery. See the reference chart below for the recommended gauge based on your unit and the length of cord you wish to use.

Easily identify gas and beverage lines with color-coded options—LightShield Black for beverages, Transparent Red for gas EVABarrier's double-walled design with a proprietary inner polymer significantly reduces oxidation and CO2 loss, keeping your beer fresher for longer The ultra-smooth, nearly impermeable inner surface of the tubing prevents bacteria and microbes from adhering, ensuring cleaner beer lines The stiff yet pliable EVA outer barrier makes the tubing kink-resistant and ideal for use with push-in fittings like Duotight and John Guest Red is recommended for differentiating your gas lines, but the 5mm ID is the perfect size if longer 10-12 ft. beverage lines are needed Easily identify your gas and beverage lines with color-coded draft tubing. Transparent Red EVABarrier is recommended for gas lines while using LightShield Black for your bev lines, saving you a headache when your draft lines inevitably get tangled up in your draft system. The semi-transparent red outer barrier makes the tubing easy to recognize even with minimal light. If you're looking for a high-quality draft tubing to take your system into the 21st century, EVABarrier is the clear choice. This double walled tubing offers superior protection against oxidation, CO2 loss and microbial growth. Plus, it's BPA and PVC free! EVA tubing is the future of draft line for professional applications, and now you can rig up your home system with the same first-class tubing. If you wish to use the tubing for beverage rather than gas, we recommend using 10-12 ft. per line for adequate flow resistance. Outer Barrier The outer barrier is made from EVA material and provides a decent stiffness to the tubing while still remaining pliable. This not only makes EVABarrier extremely kink resistant, it also makes it the best tubing to be used with Duotight, John Guest, and other push-in fittings. Inner Barrier The inner barrier is made from a proprietary polymer that acts as an excellent gas barrier. You can rest assured that your beer will be better protected from oxygen exposure, as well as CO2 loss. Your beer will stay fresher for longer and not loose carbonation like with other draft line. With other beverage line, you may notice that beer sitting in the line for an extended period will start to taste flat and/or oxidized. EVA Barrier tubing is unquestionably better in this regard and you will notice a significantly improved freshness of your beer, especially if it's been sitting in the lines for a while. Due to the high density and smooth nature of the EVABarrier inner wall, the internal surface of the tubing is remarkably smooth and almost completely impermeable. This makes it difficult for bacteria and other microbes to attach to the inside surface of the tubing. Just another way EVABarrier is looking out for you and your beer! Direct Connect to Ball Lock Kegs This tubing works seamlessly with Duotight Gas In and Bev Out Ball Lock QDs which allow you to connect your draft lines directly to your ball lock homebrew keg. Be sure to select the correct size QD fittings that correspond to your tubing's outer diameter (OD). Specifications: Inner Diameter - 5 mm (13/64") Outer Diameter - 8 mm (5/16") PVC, BPA , and Plasticizer Free* Stiff outer wall is kink resistant and easy to use with Duotight fittings Smooth inner wall prevents oxidation, CO2 loss and microbial growth build-up *EVABarrier does not contain plasticizers, or phthalates, that are used to make PVC flexible. These plasticizers are known to leach out into the beer over time and have adverse health effects. KegLand Part Number: KL42741

The Hop Bong is a versatile pressurizable tri-clamp accessory, capable of not only dry hopping oxygen purged hops into fermenters, but also as an inline carbonation/oxygenation accessory. This particular sized tri-clamp Hop Bong was designed for the BrewBuilt X-Series Uni Conical fermenters for their 1.5" T.C. lid port. The side port features PCO1881 male threads so you have the option to add a Ball Lock Cap. When used as a dry hopping device on top of your fermenter, this will allow you to purge your additions of oxygen by flushing them with CO2. When used as a sight glass below your fermenter (if your conical has a 1.5" bottom port, or if you use it along with a 2" x 1.5" reducer), bubble CO2 from the bottom up via the Ball Lock Cap to rouse hops or carbonate finished beer. Constructed from Nylon 12: An autoclavable, extremely robust, and chemical resistant engineering plastic. Hop Pellet Capacity: 80–120g (2.8–4.2 oz) KegLand Part Number: KL26062

Simcoe® Quantum Brite
One of the first truly tropical-forward varieties, Simcoe® defines the balanced catty/blackcurrant and tropical fruit notes so sought after in early West Coast IPAs on through today’s Hazys and Milkshake IPAs.
Optimized Hop Extracts
Compared to other hop-extracts, the Quantum Series tastes better, performs better, and is easier to use. It works with everything from Pils to Porters with no special handling required. Easily flowable at cool, ambient, and warm temperatures. Gone are the days of warming up your extract or scrubbing the sticky gunk out of your equipment.
Compared to hops and pellets, the Quantum Series offers a 100% utilization rate and can be used at any stage of the brewing process. It cuts down on shipping and storage costs by an order of magnitude, not to mention the labor savings from not having to lug boxes around.
Quantum Tastes Better
The Quantum Series is an evolutionary leap forward in aroma and brewing technology. When you get down to it, nobody wants to use an extract product that makes their beer taste worse off. Extracts have taken a bad rap because they can often add more problems than they solve and, frankly, they don’t always taste the greatest. Abstrax gets it. That’s why, above all else, flavor and aroma come first with Quantum.
Dosage
Consider 1mL of Quantum Brite the flavor/aroma equivalent of 1 oz of T-90 pellet hops. Add after fermentation is complete, ideally at the coldest and latest point in your process, in your fermenter, keg, or bottling bucket. Or even add a drop or two to spike your finished beer in the glass.
Features:
100% efficient flavor/aroma transfer
Consistent from batch to batch
No yield loss from absorption
Quantum will not affect IBU test results and cannot cause lightstruck off-flavors
Zero Undesirable Plant Compounds
No Lipids
No Chlorophyll
Recommended storage: 40-90°F. Do not freeze.

Flash Brewing® KitsIntroducing MoreBeer!'s Flash Brewing® Kits! Designed for both novice and seasoned homebrewers, these innovative recipe kits allow you to simply mix the ingredients with water and add yeast for fermentation. This streamlined process not only saves you valuable time but also simplifies brewing without sacrificing flavor. Say hello to a faster, easier way to craft exceptional beer at home.
Typically, brewing requires you to boil your malt and hops for one hour, followed by another hour for cooling. Flash Brewing® eliminates the need to boil. Our Flash Brewing® malt recipes have been boiled and whirlpooled before they are dried. We then use a HopBite™ shot for bitterness combined with a mix of traditional hop pellets for flavor. Flash Yeast™ starts quickly and consistently produces clean beer that lets the malt and hops shine. The result is a high-quality beer that will absolutely surprise you.

Most breweries and wineries use a large plate filter system to achieve clear product. Now you can do the same at home with two corny kegs. Our Beer and Wine Plate Filter Kit has a larger surface area, which means more yeast and particulate extraction than our cartridge filter, and comes with our plate filter, two disposable filter pads, tubing, flare fittings, and two flare beverage ball locks. This kit works great as either a beer or wine filter, but you may want to use different pads depending on the results you're hoping to achieve
Each filtering session requires two pads at a time, and each pad must be the same micron to work. The beer or wine is pushed out of the keg and into the housing at 5 PSI, where it passes on either side of the filter housing, then gets forced from the center through the pads, where it is then pushed out into your clean keg. The rough sides of both filters should be facing each other on the inside of the filter, so the smooth sides face outward.
Each filter pad set is good for approximately 5 gallons of beer when the beer has been filtered by the previous size pads or you are starting with the rough filters. These pads are not designed to be back flushed and reused and should be used in one session.

MoreBeer! is proud to release this Black IPA recipe designed by our local homebrew Club D.O.Z.E.
After winning the AHA Homebrew Club Of The Year in 2010, the Diablo Order Of Zymiracle Enthusiasts (DOZE) put their minds together to collectively craft a beer they felt representative of the club and its brewers. The initiative was taken on as an all club project that spanned 5 months. In the end, over 50 members contributed ideas to this recipe and nearly 40 individual batches brewed by 23 DOZE members were tasted and refined to a single recipe. This beer is inspired by the style many refer to as Cascadian Dark Ale or Black IPA, however it is not intended to fit the mold of any particular guideline. Mostly it is big, dark, hoppy, and delicious.
The recipe was coined 'Diablo Dark Ale' in honor of our near by Mt. Diablo. Members of the Diablo Order of Zymurical Enthusiasts live in various cities located at the base of this great mountain. Also the location where many of us from MoreBeer! go mountain biking when we get the chance.

Selected for its outstanding ability to conduct fast malolactic fermentation in high alcohol red wine Direct inoculation, freeze-dried bacteria – does not require rehydration High numbers of active cells which ensure a quick start of fermentation Good for 66 gallons. Viniflora CH16 is a freeze-dried pure culture of Oenococcus oeni. This malolactic bacterium has been carefully selected to induce malolactic fermentation in red wine with high alcohol levels, after direct inoculation. Viniflora CH16 has been isolated from a 16% Petit shiraz wine in the Russian River area of California, USA. The bacterium's natural environment gives a good picture of its application; CH16 has been carefully selected for its outstanding ability to conduct fast malolactic fermentation in high alcohol red wine (up to 16% v/v) with a pH value above 3.4. Innoculation: Viniflora CH16 should be added to dry wine, immediately after the alcoholic fermentation. Viniflora CH16 should always be inoculated directly into the wine. No rehydration or reactivation is required. For more information about ML Bacteria, please see MoreWine!'s Guide to Malolactic Fermentation. Characteristics: Very high fermentation speed Low production of volatile acidity Outstanding tolerance to high alcohol levels. Unique amino acid blend activates Ehrlich pathway causing beer and wine yeast to produce tropical flavors
Contributes complexity to beer styles like Hazys where tropical flavors are desired. Pairs perfectly with CellarScience HAZY Yeast
Contributes tropical complexity to Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier wines when used in conjunction with CellarScience CITRUS Wine Yeast
Enhance tropical flavors in your beer or wine with CellarScience Tropic Thunder. By changing the amino acid mix you feed your yeast you can influence the final flavors yeast produce. To understand why, we have to first explain the Ehrlich pathway which was discovered over 100 years ago by German Biochemist Felix Ehrlich. Yeast absorbs and breaks down a specific set of amino acids very slowly over the course of fermentation. The yeast cells incorporate the amino group into their cell structure, leaving an alpha-keto acid. This acid is turned into fusel alcohol by the yeast and then returned back out into the wort. This production of fusel alcohols via the breakdown of specific amino acids is called the Ehrlich Pathway.
For Beer
Fusel alcohol may scare you as a brewer... we get it, you are trained to avoid these! But certain fusel alcohols actually have a really positive effect on the final beer flavor. The idea behind CellarScience Tropic Thunder is we have selected specific amino acids that when fed to your yeast will result in the production of a small amount of fusel alcohols that contribute to the tropical flavors of mango, pineapple, and coconut. Tropic Thunder nutrient is often used to help create complexity in hazy IPA, but feel free to use it in any style where tropical flavors would be welcome—you are only limited by your imagination! When used in beer, Tropic Thunder can replace your typical yeast nutrient as it is itself an organic, DAP-free nutrient. If you typically use a complex nutrient that includes DAP, you can continue to add it separately as normal.
For Wine
Tropic Thunder is perfect for Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier and other select styles where tropical fruit flavors are part of your vision. In addition to selecting a thiol releasing yeast strain such as CellarScience CITRUS, Tropic Thunder can help bring complimentary tropical fusel flavors via the Ehrlich pathway. As a part of the overall mix, along with thiols and terpenes, the complexity of Sauvignon Blanc or Viognier is enhanced. Tropic Thunder can also be used in select Chardonnays or any white wines where tropical mango and pineapple flavors are desired. When added at the rate of 0.6 to 2 grams per gallon, Tropic Thunder contributes 3 to 12 ppm of YAN. When using CellarScience FermFed or FermFed DAP Free nutrient blends to power your fermentation, we recommend adding Tropic Thunder on top of these additions.
Use:
For beer or white wine add 0.6 to 2 gram per gallon (0.15 to 0.5 grams per liter) directly into the fermenter at the start of fermentation. Perform bench trials to determine optimal usage or start with a dosage of 1.2 g per gal (0.3 g per liter) and adjust as needed on future batches.
The 6.3 mm (1/4") ID size is recommended to be used as gas line or long draw beverage lines. If you intend to use it as beverage line, we recommend using 20-25 ft. per line for adequate flow resistance. Specifications: Inner Diameter - 6.3 mm (1/4") Outer Diameter - 9.5 mm (3/8") PVC, BPA , and Plasticizer Free* Stiff outer wall is kink resistant and easy to use with Duotight fittings Smooth inner wall prevents oxidation, CO2 loss and microbial growth build-up *EVABarrier does not contain plasticizers, or phthalates, that are used to make PVC flexible. These plasticizers are known to leach out into the beer over time and have adverse health effects. Kegland Part number: KL06248
This fitting allows you to change a 1.5 in. TC to a 1/4 in. flare. The 1/4 in. flare is compatible with a standard swivel nut for draft lines making it an easy way to transfer to kegs!
PetroGel is used as a food grade lubricant in kegging systems, and other beer and wine applications. It can be used to lubricate o-rings, and can "rejuvenate" worn o-rings on keg lids and other areas. The petroleum lubricant can get sticky and hold on to soils. For a non-sticky alternative, some people prefer the silicone spray lubricant (CH238).
If you want to use the absolute best style of valve available to homebrewers, the butterfly valve is the clear choice. Brewers love butterfly valves because they are far and away the most sanitary option. Regular ball valves can trap small amounts of wort inside them, which inevitably leads to an infection that can sour your beer. That's why we always recommend breaking down your ball valves and cleaning them between uses. Butterfly valves have virtually nowhere for contaminants to hide and are easily cleaned in place. They also can be taken apart for a deeper cleaning if desired, although it's rarely necessary.
This 1.5" Tri-Clamp Butterfly Valve features stainless steel construction and 7-position handle. The plastic handle can be rotated 180° for right or left hand operation.

An extremely malty beer that really emphasizes malt over hops
Includes a single addition of Northern Brewer hops
Estimated ABV: 8%
Estimated IBUs: 19-23
Makes 5 gallons of finished beer
An extremely malty beer that really emphasizes malt over hops. Most styles are more balanced, which means the bitterness of the hops is proportional to the sweetness of the malt. Not true with our Scotch ale where the deep malt flavor is king. Scotch Ale yeast strains typically ferment well in the low-to-mid 60's and leave behind very few esters or fruity flavors, which further emphasizes the malt. This recipe has over 11 lbs of malt extract and only one ounce of hops!

WLP036 is a traditional altbier-style yeast that produces clean, malty German brown and amber ales Promotes sweet malt notes while relegating hop bitterness to the background Ideal for high gravity ales, American and English hoppy beers, as well as malty ambers, porters, and brown ales PurePitch® Next Generation offers a precise cell count across all strains so you can calculate the exact pitch rate you need for every batch Scan the barcode on the back of the package and enter your wort stats into the Pitch Rate Calculator
White Labs Yeast has been producing high-quality brewer's yeast since 1995 and continues to raise the bar in the art of fermentation Don't need a full package? Put the lid back on and store in the refrigerator for your next batch! WLP036 Dusseldorf Alt is a traditional yeast directly from Dusseldorf, Germany. This strain produces a sweeter more malt-forward beer with much less emphasis on hop flavor. Used for brewing Dusseldorf altbiers, as well as German kolsches, cream ale, American IPA, pale and brown ales, specialty honey ales and even herb & spiced beers. PurePitch® Next Generation—now with more yeast, get a foolproof fermentation without a starter! Just twist the cap & pitch! Why PurePitch Next Gen versus other options?
Typically yeast manufacturers use a range for how many yeast cells are going into each package. This can vary widely, especially from strain to strain. Next Gen offers a far more precise cell count across all strains allowing you to use the Whitelabs exclusive pitch calculator. Simply scan the barcode on the back of each package to be taken to their online calculator. Enter the volume, strength, and pitching temperature of the wort you are fermenting and the calculator tells you exactly how much yeast to pitch. You will be fermenting like a professional brewer, using the same concentration of yeast every time and enjoying more consistent results. Don't need a full package? Put the lid back on and store in the refrigerator for your next batch. Whitelabs has also increased the viability (the number of living cells in the package) over the shelf life of the yeast. Next Gen strains are grown in their unique, small-batch reactors to assure freshness and then packaged in a special film that allows for off-gassing, assuring that their viability is absolutely industry leading. Attenuation: 65-72% Flocculation: Medium Alcohol Tolerance: 5-10% ABV Optimum Fermentation Temp: 65-69°F Cell Count: 150 Billion For best results we always recommend ordering an ice pack with your liquid yeast. Please Note: When choosing an ice pack option beware that the liquid yeast will not arrive cold even when shipped together. Ice packs and insulated mailing options are designed to keep the yeast colder for longer during shipment, but they will not ensure that your yeast arrives cold. We will not replace liquid yeast that arrives warm. During warmer months we strongly recommend you choose dry yeast.

Throw on a pair of shades and button up your favorite floral print shirt, this ambrosial IPA is a vacation in a glass. Our Flamingos & Fronds IPA clone kit was inspired by Alvarado Street Brewery's Mai Tai PA, an extraordinarily tropical brew comprised of 100% Mosaic® hop additions. While technically a SMaSH beer (or in this case, single malt extract and single hop), this delicious west coast IPA has a surprisingly complex flavor and aroma profile that perfectly expresses the versatility of Mosaic® hops. Take a deep breath and let waves of passion fruit, mango, and lychee wash over you while sipping a pint of Flamingos & Fronds. Close your eyes and you'll hear the wind lightly rustling through the palms as a flock of wading birds quietly gabble and honk in the distance. Relax. You've earned a break from life's unrelenting hustle and bustle, if only for as long as there's beer left in your glass.

Brand new, all-stainless construction ball lock keg
Low2 lid O-ring reduces oxygen ingress by 96% compared to silicone O-rings when measured in a keg!
Stackable with ball lock quick disconnects in place
Etched In and Out labels near the keg posts for easy identification
Rolled handles for a comfortable grip
Made by an ISO certified commercial keg manufacturer with high-quality laser welded seams
Set your sights on a brand new Torpedo Keg! The patented, D794,899, sleek all-stainless design represents the pinnacle of quality in ball lock homebrew kegs. With features like welded stainless handles, the ability to stack with fittings in place, amazing quality and a great price we think these kegs will become the standard by which other kegs are measured.
Quality First
The first thing we at MoreBeer! check out is interior welds. We've spent a decade rejecting kegs made overseas because the interior welds have never met our standards. If a weld is not perfect and shows evident burn marks along with nooks and crannies it cannot be sanitized effectively. These kegs are machine welded and exceed our standards for quality. The weld quality is possible because these kegs made by an ISO certified commercial keg manufacturer.
Cool Features
Torpedo Kegs were designed to stack with Ball Lock quick disconnects in place and serving which is a cool feature for some brewers who have vertical space in their refrigerator. We also like the rolled stainless steel handles. They are comfortable to grab and will never come off like some rubber handles can over time. In and Out is etched near the keg posts for easy identification which is very handy when you are connecting lines in a refrigerator or kegerator and trying not to make a mistake.
Low2 Keg Lid O-ring
Give your beverage the absolute best protection from oxygen staling with the Low2 keg lid O-ring. Even the most perfectly sealed keg is susceptible to oxygen ingress through the hatch O-ring—yes, even if the keg is under constant pressure with CO2! Even a leak-free, pressurized keg will release CO2 molecules as they pass through the lid O-ring itself, and conversely, Oxygen molecules will permeate through the O-ring and diffuse into the keg when they reach the surface area on the other side. The level of permeability is wide ranging and highly dependent on what material the O-ring is made from. Rather than the usual EPDM or Silicone, Low2 gaskets are made from a unique composition of Synthetic M-Class and Cross-Link Elastomers. This special blend has superior oxygen barrier properties that results in your beverage staying fresher for longer.
Taking your keg on the go? Don't leave home without a custom fitted Torpedo Keg Sleeve!

A great all around German wheat beer strain!
A complex alternative to the standard German wheat strain profile. This strain produces apple, pear, and plum esters in addition to the dominant banana character. The esters are complemented nicely by clove and subtle vanilla phenolics. The balance can be manipulated towards ester production through increasing fermentation temperature, increasing the wort density, and decreasing the pitch rate. Over pitching can result in a near complete loss of banana character. Decreasing the ester level will allow a higher clove character to be perceived. Sulfur is commonly produced, but will dissipate with conditioning. This strain is very powdery and will remain in suspension for an extended amount of time following attenuation. This is true top cropping yeast and requires fermenter headspace of 33%.

You likely want to monitor the temperature of your wort as it moves from the chiller to the fermenter, and now you can do just that with this In-Line Thermometer. This high quality thermometer features stainless steel quick disconnects for easy installation in line with the rest of your brewing system, and many users install it on the “out” side of their convoluted heat exchangers and counterflow chillers.
As the wort runs through the body of the in-line thermometer it runs across the 2-inch thermometer probe, giving an instant and incredibly accurate reading of its exact temperature. Ryan Barto, our Fulfillment Operations Manager and also the thermometer’s inventor, says that this handy device will help you to keep better control of your mash temperatures, and makes it easier to transfer your wort to your conical through the counterflow chiller.
